World of Confusion.

Just got my Ill/Storm/Psi troller up to level 49 and I'm trying to decide what power will be my final. Stuck between group invis or world of confusion. I was wondering if WoC was worth the slot. How much damage does it provide? As Ill/Storm I already have more soft control than a needy girlfriend. But more damage would be welcome.
Any advice from someone who has taken this power and slotted it?

It only has an 8 foot radius. That's melee range only. It requires a tohit check and only does 3.67 points of damage. It's pretty bad, in my experience.

Assuming you only have one slot, Group Invis is a nice pick for a little added defense for the team and a place for a LotG: recharge. It's not a necessary power by far, but definitely my choice between the two.

I tried World of Confusion on Test . . . and I thought it was pretty bad. Three buddies of mine have tried it fully slotted up, and all three respec'ed out because it was useless other than as a mule for the comparably cheap purple Confuse set.

I assume you have the Psi APP set and took Indomidible Will, so did you take Psi Blast? The single target blast lets you have an attack chain of Blind-SW-Blast-SW. Psi Tornado? After those, you might want Mind Over Body -- the Smashing/Lethat resistance can reduce the damage you take enough to survive in some cases.

I run WoC on my Fire/Rad, simply because I am always in melee range with HF and CC anyway. One more layer is actually nice, especially against enemies that buff/debuff, like the Lts on the ITF or DE emitters. It is definitely not a reason unto itself to go charging onto the front line, and without the purple set, the confuse duration is patheticly small.

The power is gravy at best, on top of other PBAoE powers, and it could probably a little dev love.

If you're going to slot the confuse purple set on Deceive, I wouldn't bother w/WoC. I took it for my Fire/Rad, also as an "already in melee" power and sorta like it, but it's primarily a set mule. W/o that utility, I'd likely not bother with it. As an Ill/Storm, I'd think you'd want to play mostly at range, esp if you run Hurricane a lot.
