My guess is that the only reason they're bothering to show them at all is that they probably had to satisfy some outstanding contractual obligation to "broadcast" them on TV at least once. Afterwards I'm sure they'll just collect up all the episodes into a DvD box set and sell them that way.
Still a shame the way they mishandled the whole affair. I think Caprica could have been a very solid 10 or 12 part miniseries. Instead all we got was a half-baked open-ended series without a proper ending.

Tonight SyFy will be dumping the last five unseen episodes of Caprica starting at 6pm EST. These five episodes were already "in the can" by the time the show got cancelled so this'll be our first chance to see them. I've got my TiVo ready to go for this.
