Radom unplayable conditions

Hey all.

Getting random bouts of big time slow downs while playing Co*. Heroes, Villains and Praetoria.

Frame rate drops to nothing and there is about a 2-3 second delay when I input anything. (Mouse click, type or any command) No idea when this started as I don't play to regularly now.

The other day it happened and I tried logging out and logging back in. The slow down exists at the log in screen too. Starting in safe mode got rid of it, but I had to do a full reboot of my laptop for it to go away.

It will pop up shortly after I log in or an hour in to playing. No real pattern to it at all.

Edit: I know enough about computers to be dangerous to my software, and I am lazy so drivers may be an issue. Thanks for any help!

your video drivers are... a year old though for Mobile Chips I'm not gonna lie and say I know where to find them.

Thanks for the input, I'll poke around see what I can find. Anyone else have anything?

I had a similar issue, turned out to be a control chipset driver issue.
