The only limiting factor I will have is if no one else from my SG shows, but we can do it from any base with a raid computer, and three people from that SG. You have to have three people from the same SG to do this.
In the meantime, everyone try to get Shivans, if we get the easier AV, then we can overwhelm him with Shivans, making our job much easier.

Ya, a massive DC from half the participants didnt help :P
However it was the first time I saw that AV go down so low. I do believe we could have taken him, but Shivans/HVAS and what ever other pets we could muster would probably be necessary. Other than that we had it going.
A little note, we could have used a little more coordination concerning the Forges, next time we need to dedicate one team per forge, instead of having everyone running around willy-nilly!

We are going to do the Cathedral of Pain (COP) again on Thursday (28 Oct) at 8 CST. Please meet at RWZ, we will enter the base from there. If you don't have them, I would HIGHLY recommend getting Shivans. If we all have them that would be 24 Shivans on the AV, and this will be a VERY fast trial! I just went and got a fresh set of five Shivans myself. Looking forward to this, see you there!

Great suggestion there.
If I can propose another: to ensure everyone has a chance to get the Shivans, we could take an extra 20-30 minutes beforehand to grab some before we even hit the teleporters.
I'll add that offer to the calendar entry to maximize our Shivan acquisition.

When selecting what characters to bring to this, you should keep in mind what damage type your character does. Characters who do smashing, lethal, energy, or toxic damage are only 2/3rds as effective as those who do fire, cold, negative, or psionic damage. This isn’t to say that everyone needs to be a fire/cold/negative/psionic damage dealer to have a chance to beat the trial, but more to say that those characters will be more efficient in defeating the Aspect of Rularuu. Something I did not see mentioned was: SG base buffs.
The 20 min, they last should be enough to at least take us into the first beatdown with the AV.

Tonight still?
I'll be on about 45-60 min. prior for those who need to get some Shivans. I withheld doing so since we had scheduled a run prior to Carnada's COP. I already scored the Backup Radio temp power and will get Envenomed Daggers and a fresh HVAS tonight when I log on.
If we can get the basics down prior that will save a lot of time for everyone.
TIP: as in the above link provided by Carnada, it's fairly certain that if the AV (whichever) can't be defeated on the 2nd pass that we'll never do so.
Also, are we going to attempt using this technique, as referred to in the aforementioned guide?
In any case, this seems the minimum we could coordinate once inside and facing the cubes / AV:

What levels are you looking for? My highest is a 41 WP/SS tank. I have a lower level Controller...I think 10 or 11. So I may be no help there.

I want to bring my rad, but she's still 3 tip missions and a morality mission away from being able to participate. If I don't hit hero status in time, I'm still up for bringing my blaster again.

I can't make promise on availability, but I'd like to bring my badging BS/SR Scrapper. Though, if absolutely necessary, I can also bring a Rad/Sonic Defender or Grav/TA Controller.
