Graphics: Max particle count: 100 Anyone use this?

I cant stand with hasten or superseed FX, but I love the powers so I was trying to get them less noticeable, so I turned this option to minimal.
Its not bad at all, tried with energy blast, psi blast, electric melee...
Sure, the game is less spectacular but after a while, sometimes you just want to see your character with less auras (electric armor Im looking at you).
I dont know if this option is gonna last on my settings but Im gonna give it a try, specially with fitness going inherent with I19, would be good to use hasten in a couple of alts without caring about the annoying energy bubbles.
Im curious, anyone use this at all?

Only times I slide particles to minimum is during a Mothership or Hamidon Raid, along with dropping the overall graphics settings to their lowest. So I only use the particle count slider out of necessity. I love the effects the game uses for the most part so unless I have to turn something down, I prefer to run at full, heh.

I do this to eliminate the smoke in the middle mission of an LRSF, with the slider at maximum you can't see six foot in front of you.

Pretty much 24/7. Of course, Electric Control just bypasses the setting. Grr.

You can turn off some effects without fiddling with particle count.

Try

/suppressclosefx 1

and

/suppressclosefxdist 300


Hasten and superspeed effects will be gone!

Unless of course I remembered it wrong, in which case someone can fix my post
