Best All-rounder? Soul Mastery. Two decent-damage AOE attacks, one of which can be slotted up to keep an AV immobilised and taunted at range. A very high damage Single Target attack, a wonderfully powerful Damage Mitigation Toggle and a fairly high DPS pet. It's basically Made of Win.

Pick up a hold for annoying things like Sappers or Tarantula Queens that eat defense for breakfast. Decent ranged ST power and AOE power, and a debuff power. The debuff numbers on Melt Armor are not huge, but the debuff lasts a long time (40 seconds for both the defense and res debuff) and can stack with Bruising.


To be honest, though, there are a variety of things that can work for you. For APPs, though I usually go with whatever fits my character thematically, as that is my preference (especially since we can't customize APPs yet). After that, I choose the one that is going to boost my character the most.

Here's another shot at it. I'm above the Soft Cap for Smash/Lethal/Energy/Negative, and almost there for Fire/Cold. I chose Leviathan Mastery for School of Sharks which gives me a ranged cone and an immob while also being thematic for the character. Maneuvers is as well, while also giving a bit of Defense to the team (not a whole lot I know, but every little bit helps).

Bunny - just for kicks I used your build, and DAMN it's great! I'm pretty much unkillable. Takes a while to kill large mobs, but my health hardly moves. Nice build, thanks.

Don't suppose you have a build for a spines/dark armour scrapper do you? ;-)

Don't feel obligated to take an APP "just cuz". Yes, they can add functionality or round out your capabilities, but they are by no means required for end-game performance. My WP/SS didn't take one. She's a mutant with superhuman resilience and strength. Why would she one day start shooting fireballs and summoning shadowy power from the void?

I took Leviathan Mastery because this character is kinda Aquaman-like and can control animals, and the shark powers fit.
