Fury building
Instead of making a new thread, i'll just type it here:
Is it possible to reach 100 fury? Im always stuck at like 80... what are the new fury mechanics?

Fury, solo, in normal conditions, caps at around 75-80. On large teams, with lots of AoEs, and lots of tohit rolls being made agaisnt you (cuz its not being hit, its getting hit at that builds fury) You can hit levels of 100 fury. Plus the frenzy power, for being a full fledge villain i think caps your fury at 100.
Fury decays at a much slower rate then it used to. And it builds alot faster now. Attacking with your attacks, and being attacked at builds fury. If you find yourself low on fury, go run into a mob. Even if you dont throw a single attack, your fury will build pretty quickly.
Well idk... Say if you have softcapped defenses, if you dodge or whatever an attack, do you get the same fury as if you were actually hit?

I dont think it is possible to get 100% fury without using frenzy.
And am i the only one that actually doesnt see new fury as much of a buff? I dont know about you but ive been having a harder time keep about 75-80 fury since the changes. Not that its really slowed me down at all anyway

In my opinion, it is a slight nerf. Slight, because they left options to overcome it. And they were kind enough to give us a reach-around as they did it, by having fury degrade slower.
But in truth, Brute is still the epitome of the overpowered class. I looked all all classes when I started, and though we have added some, Brute is still the only one to say High Damage, High Defenses. I like to play overpowered toons, and therefore Brute is for me.
There have been a couple good posts on the boards, search "The results are in..." this is pre-i18 data, but it shows that with large rech, and with SOs, Brutes slightly out-damage Scrappers. That may be harder to do now, in truth as it probably should, but still, a toon that can tank, or ghetto tank depending on the powersets/build, and still deal out the pain is a nice option to have for us power-gamers.
In truth, if they made the tank do brute damage with no rage I would probably make that my main, but I just cannot solo the game on a tank, and I can on every brute I ever made, including the AVs (glorified bosses) in story arcs. Then they also team really well, what is not to love?
One of the big options they have is the auto fury generation, way nice, and in truth, I believe that gives more back than the nerf takes away. I looked in Wiki for info on this, none there. I also havent got it myself yet, I believe it is a benefit of villain alignment morality mission. I have been rolling new brute since i18 came out, but am now on course with a badger I hit 25 with today. Almost have my alignment mission loaded, so that should be interesting.
I tend to sit at 85 Fury on my Brutes at +2/x8. This is usually during combat. If I run in with over 60 Fury and take a new alpha, I'll get very close to 100.
And yes, Frenzy fills your Fury bar.

"Dark Armor is a complete waste as a tanking set."
I play as an Axe/WP brute and hit 50 a while back. This character is quite strong but reading through here and with my own observations I can see the issues with fury building.
Primarily with slow sets like Axe, fury builds very slow on just my attacks. Normally this isn't a problem because other enemies are attacking me helping maintain high fury levels, but single targets aren't so hot relative to the buzzsaw builds that just attack every 2 seconds.
I have brawl set on autofire but each animation just takes way too long to consistently build fury without the enemies assist, plus the secondary knockdown effects.
Is there any belief that fury per attack could be modified to take into account power activation time or perhaps (base) endurance usage?
Seems dumb to have a 40 damage brawl build the same amount of fury as a 400 damage cleave.
