Base update in the 9/29 patch. Not as exciting as hoped.

"Corrected the swapped prestige costs for Small Steel Lab Tank and Steel Alembic Tank."

Really? That's all?

If nothing else, what about all the other items that are cost-swapped, like a lot of the Tech monitors?

It does show that they are thinking of us at least.

I for one feel that this in and of itself shows the shinies soon to come.

All will be well in our little corner of the galaxy. We will be able to set the height of things without using Accents and Floor Tiles. Make the Crystal Balls 12 feet tall or just use the ball without the pedastal if you want. Ooh but best of all, use a safe as a safe or part of a stove. I can't wait.

Maybe, with any luck, our Dev Sunsport, Sunspun, hmmm what was the name, will come by to keep us well informed.

Well. It could happen.

Huh. Just noticed you can already have the crysta balls without the stands. My bad. Please ignore everything I said.

Enjoy your day please.

How curious (and yet somehow typical of the past year or so).

As a mere player with a more than passing interest in the bases aspect of the game, I plead guilty to trying to analize everything said or done publicly by the devs on this subject. My goal is to try and understand the thought process behind the (very few) things that do occur with bases. My reasoning is that that will provide some kind of insight on what the devs find important and perhaps an inkling of future direction.

So far that has mostly been an exercise in futility (frustration) for me. Oftentimes, like this, the soda pop bottle just drops from the sky: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gods_Must_Be_Crazy

Guess I need to just accept that and move on.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom (or freem?) fighter; just as one man's exploit is another man's feature.

Yeah, it seems random, like the test beaker racks suddenly having actual beakers on them.
