AR Traps Defense cap Positional Build

I would like to post a build and get some insight on it. I am currently at 49 with it and have 3 ( or is it 2, I forget ) slot available to place once at 50.

I have ignite slotted with 3 Positron blast atm and was going to slot the next 2 at level 50 in ignite and add one aegis resistance to mind over body.

I was also considering placing contagious confusion proc in world of confusion tatum mentioned to me in another thread. And maybe just Frankenslot Ignite forgoing the extra recharge bonus of Poistron blast IO set.

If anything seems odd, EG seeker drones, it is because I needed the range Positional defense. Of course the dark watcher is in there just for the added bonuses to end. With all the toggles running I figured I should try to get as much as possible. I guess I could move Dark Watcher slots to another power. Which as of this posting sort of seems to make a bit more sense.

Anyways I don't want to bore you anymore and babble on. Here is the build I can certainly try to explain something that might not make sense. I would really like to keep my positional defense caps. But willing to listen to anything.

Just a thought..... Is it an option for you to run alignment missions to eventully be able to pick up the PvPIO Glad +3%def unique. That one proc would let you remove any set of your choice (I'm looking at you Seekers) to free up slots. I dont know about you but I like to play my lvl50s so I dont mind having long range goals since I love running SF's/TF's.

Ok I'm gonna spend sometime playing around in mids so I'll be editing this post to add more if I find any better options.

- I see a great opening once i19 Inherent Fitness comes you can get your fighting pool moved up into your 20s. This will make you more exemplar friendly with more defense at a lower lvl and your -KB protection

- I like taking Poison Trap as soon as its available. Why wait till 18?

- I'd take Slug early so you can have an attack chain. I'd take this at lvl4 and as above to get Poison in early push Triage Beacon back to lvl14. In the lower lvls when you have poor recharge Triage Beacon is very situational.

- Why Red Fortune is it a question of Money? All of those will have FAR better bonuses with LotG's not to mention the +7.5%recharges. If those Red's are for the +2%dmg dump it really you wont miss it and right there you just free'd up slots. 3slot the shields def/def,end/def,end,rch

- Replace basic Heal IO in health with Numi Heal for +12%regen bonus

- Now once i19 goes live I see a bunch of ways to shuffle things around that will make the build a bit more streamlined but we have to wait for that =)

Here you go this was my best shot at your build. I think I beat quite a few of your numbers and added some more utillity to some powers. Its capped to EVERYTHING except psi. I think it looks good =) ENJOY

- Now once i19 goes live I see a bunch of ways to shuffle things around that will make the build a bit more streamlined but we have to wait for that =)
Money is an issue, but actually I had LotG in the build and intend on spending some money / hero tickets / merits to pick up LotG IOs and the recharge. Numi you can't get with Hero tickets will see if I can get it with Merits.

I didn't look at the build yet. I just want to post some comment related to this post first.

I take it you like the build. I went a little differnt route on what sets I grabbed the bonuses from to cap than you. Like having Lockdown now in Poison Trap is a big plus and I feel that +2mag Proc is worth every dime you pay for it.

- Numi Heal is of minor concern its just you had the proc in your build I figured grab the matching Heal for set bonus.

- Ok wasn't sure about your bank account. Slot all defense powers with the Red Fortune the same way and slowly swap them out for LotG's as you can: Def, Def/End, Def/End/Rch

- Note the Erradication set in WoC it can be expensive just swap it out.

Other than that I dont think the build will be very expensive at all.

Okay I got to 50 did a respec over to tatum build, since it was clearly superior to mine. Its a bit endurance heavy. If I can get together another 40 million or so I will slot up another Purple confuse IO in World of Confusion.

I slotted a few damage procs in it atm. Another Coercive Persuasion will give me a 4% end increase. Which is better then nothing I guess. I could slot Detonation with Damage / Endurance swapping out another from those powers using that set. Which might help the Endurance issue.

I was able to use some hero villain points to buy up 2 LOTG global recharge IO and had a drop for a Defense / Recharge LOTG. If I can pick up another LOTG global recharge and 2 more replacements IOs from LOTG. Trip mine should be coming up pretty darn fast. And the Health regen should be a nice added bonus. Further the Global recharge will allow me to spam pretty much any of my quick AR attacks and still get some endurance gain.

While Respecing I was tempted to change up and go Electric Mastery. I have a Dark Electric Defender with Power Sink is VERY Helpful in the endurance recharge Department. But I really wanted to try something different. Or even going to villain side to pick up Mu Mastery. I could pick up Power Sink Charge Armor and Summon Adept.

Lockdown in Poison Trap is nice.. The chance for +2 Mag hold from lockdown set goes off A LOT and it lingers along with the Poison trap. So just when you think the poison trap wore off, bam someone is being held. Just goes to show you how long poison trap last. It also is holding Orange con mobs on a regular basis which is nice

I'm going to stick it out a bit and see how it goes with World of Confusion. But if it becomes a real pain then I will switch over for Power Sink.

The Defense Cap is great, it's a decent build. I have nothing to complain about except the endurance, But only because my powers are cycling faster then I can use them. Will hold out till i19 and hope they fix the way players respec.

For those that might be interested

After looking at what WoC was giving me and how much it cost, it just was not worth the value. I seen more noticeable effect from the Poison trap 2 mag proc then I did from WoC.

I did a respec and went with Electric mastery and picked up power sink. If I wasn't so lazy I would have went villain to pick up Mu Mastery which I think might be a bit better because you can pick up the Mu pet and have Power sink at the begining.

I don't know what some might think is better an AOE attack which you have available all the time or a pet on a timer. But a good pet from what people say about it sometimes..

Either way I purposely drained my end just to see how Power Sink worked. Without a doubt working as intended and expected. Instead of making blues now with my inspirations I can make Reds to boost my DPS. Pretty much before all I was doing was making blues or slowing down my attack chain because I was low on end.

I also put a hold proc in the Power sink. Again Working well, it is similar to the poison trap proc just 10% instead of 15%.

I don't know if Poison Trap and Power sink hold procs can stack. And if they did what exactly would stacking them do to help me out.

At this time I can't think of anything bad about the build. Solo you get 30% damage increase. A lowest level red inspiration gives you a damage increase of 25%, so total your getting 55% damage increase when solo.

I was wondering how your end consumption would be. WoC is a bit of a endurance piggy and Flamethrower is......well........a hog. All the holds do stack. I run the Devastation hold Proc in acid mortor and I've seen them combine with an ice blaster on my team to hold an AV for a few seconds at a time.

I started noticing when I didn't run WoC my endurance recovery was much better. Or I should say when WoC would drop I started noticing that my Endurance recovery was much better.

There where time when all I could do was use burst as I waited for my endurance to get back up. I wasn't getting hit much but it was tough at times. End result missions took longer then needed at times.

This is what I use, I call him Procfender

I put an achilles and a Chance for Buildup in burst since it cycles fast, I use it as a lead in for a BU Full Auto. I went with full Red Fortunes for the ranged defense bonus ( 41% range def ). I also went with Posi in everything for the 6.25% rech and the Chance for Energy proc. Nothing makes you go giggity giggity more when your BU Full Auto procs too

For what it is worth, this is the one I've been using for months and she is so sturdy it is bordering on ridiculous. This is my all time favorite hero to run TFs because she brings so much to the team, and rarely is defeated.
