Slotting
Your question's a bit vague, so I'll give a vague answer.
Slot of bunch of these:
Ok heres an example I the character i respeced was my WP/SS tanker i didnt put extra slots in to several of his powers like Leaping the Inherant ones Boxing and Swift im trying to figure our what type of enhancements are the best to put inot a single slot power using set IOs would be pointless more or less so of liek Dual origen Single origen Invintion or whatever other types i cant think of right now would be the best type to go with.
Right. Every power:
(a) Has specific enhancements it can take (not everything takes END reduction for instance,)
(b) has specific IOs it can use,
(c) has specific *sets* it can use, and
(d) might or might not benefit from specific slotting, plus
(e) could be slotted somewhat differently with certain goals for the character.
If you don't use the power, "nothing" might be the correct answer for "what to slot." Not everything needs something slotted.
As an example - Combat Jumping.
I have multiple characters with this power. If I leave it with one slot, I could:
- Stick an END reduction IO in it.
- Stick a Defense IO in it. (Not really worth it, IMHO, but *shrug*)
- Does my character have any knockback protection? If not, stick a Karma KB protection IO in it.
- If my character DOES have KB protection, stick a Luck of the Gambler +Recharge in it.
- Stick a Winter's Gift +Slow Resist in it.
What would be most helpful? Depends on the character.
Your powers will tell you, when you're at the enhancement screens, what sets they take (some don't take any sets, like Sonic Cage or Hasten.) Some take multiple sets. When you find out which ones take what, look at this page from the wiki.
Now, for instance, Boxing. Do you use it as an attack at all? If so, just a generic Acc/Dam in a single slot from any set is the first thing I'd look at. There are several procs out there, but as a single target attack with no accuracy? Eh. If you don't use it at all, take it off your power tray and just forget it exists, as it doesn't really do much good to slot anything in it.

Beyond that for basic single aspect enhancements the order is:
Training < (is always less than) Dual Origin < Common level 15 or greater IO < Single Origin < Common level 30 or greater IO
OK i think i get it now thank you for the help.
Same-level SOs at level 30 are less effective than common IOs, but +3 SOs are more powerful.

Key things to note:
triple aspect IOs better than +3 SOs starting at level 20 (slottable by a level 17 character)
dual aspect IOs better than +3 SOs starting at level 24 (slottable by a level 21 character)
Not counting Yin-Os, earliest easy access to SOs = 25 (slottable by a level 22 character)

Hi ive recently been working on respecing some of my charaters and somthing has been kinda bugging me. On some of the powers i dont put any extra slots into them so what would be the best option to put in them?
