i19 question

Basically...the change to Fitness will only help my character, right?

If I level my character to 50 right now (the character already has Fitness)...the i19 change will only mean that character is basically getting 3 new powers?

No, because that would mean you would get 2 copies of the Fitness powers.

What happens is your character remains exactly the same until you respec it. Upon respeccing, you will get Fitness as an inherent power and lose access to the pool as choosable powers.

New characters will get Fitness as an inherent automatically.

What I mean is that..."when I respec my character after i19 comes out"...the only change my build will see is...3 added powers. (assuming I slot everything the exact same way)

If you never ever respec a character that has fitness, then this change means nothing to that character. if you respec after the change happens, then you essentially get 3-4 free powers, but those 3-4 powers won't be getting very many, if any, slots.

So the way things stand just picture your character the way it is now exactly, only with an extra 3-4 powers to pick from that'll only have 1 slot.

Nice...sounds good to me.

Thanks for the quick info.

Those extra 1 slots can be extremely invaluable though. It allows you to free up slot usage for unique IOs so that you can concentrate a little more on set bonuses. Special IOs such as Luck of the Gambler 7.5% Recharge, Steadfast Protection 3% Defense, Gladiator's Armor 3% Defense, Karma Knockback Protection, and etc.

Overall my characters are getting lots more global Recharge from this change, and I like it!

With this change, I will no longer have any hangups over having to take boxing/kick to get tough and weave. Looking forward to this and the alpha slot.

Yes, this change is pretty awesome. I still can't believe they're giving us inherent Fitness... at best, I was thinking increased endurance from 1-20, like Beginner's Luck does for accuracy now.

In addition, drop Steadfasts/Karmas from your build and get Acrobatics instead with your free powers. Moar slots.

Worded THAT way, yes, you are correct.

The way you had it worded before implied something different.
