A Mission to get the RWZ Ship badge?

I'm not 100% sure, so if I'm wrong, please ignore this or post where I get it etc.. but there isn't a way, without a ship raid, to get the Rikti Ship badge, is there?

I ask because most the the times I am on, there isn't enough people about, or interested enough to do a Ship Raid. So rather than just moaning about it, is it possible to suggest that maybe an inlfiltration mission be made, where a solo player or small team can actually get the badge? Maybe make it a mini-TF like the Rikti Ouroborous TF..

AFAIK, that explore badge is raid only.
The shields need to be down.

What server are you after it on?
I know on Virtue and Justice I see frequent Rikti raids all week long.

My apologies, I thought you were asking rather than suggesting since it wasn't in the suggestions forums.

It would be nice if there was a way to get that badge without the need for a full-on Ship Raid.

I don't particularly like that raid, and about the only reason I ever try to get involved in one is to get that badge.

The huge Vanguard Merit rewards are/should be plenty of incentive to do the raid and locking an exploration badge into the raid was just a bad idea, imo.

After all, it's supposed to be an Exploration badge, not an Accomplishment badge.

Even back in the days of "find the exact location, hover over the Hamidon and drop into it (dying in the process, but picking up the explore badge)", it was at least *possible* to get all the explore badges in the game without needing a huge quantity of other players at once.

May be a stupid suggestion as you are likely already subscribed: but you do use the Virtue badge and/or TF channels, yes?

I've been on at odd times and seen recruitment and even scheduling for MS raids on those channels quite regularly.

I consider this "explore badge you need to have a raid happen to gain access to it" is about on the same level as the Mayhem/Safeguard explore badges, at least from the point of view that they can be annoying to get if you can't be in the "right place at the right time" but not impossible.

Technically speaking were I a Dev and had it to do over again I'd probably not "trap" an explore badge in a situation like this. But since it has been like it is for years now I'm not entirely sure it needs to be made any easier at this point. The level of annoyance to get it is far lower than say what Isolator was back when the only way to get it outside the tutorial was via that one Contaminated spawn in RV.

Let's just say I'd suspect the Devs' priority for making this one badge easier to solo will always be very, very low.

You can get the badge without being in the ship raid. Once the zone announces the shields are down, just fly over there, get your badge, and leave. That's how we got our RWZ beacon.

It'd be awesome if "Phase Shield" actually let you phase through the shield to get the badge. You wouldn't need much time to get the badge, since Phase Shield only lasts for 30 seconds, it all evens out in the end.
