OK...I need a little help with Earth/Psi

I'm trying to build one up, and I cant seem to understand the right powers to pick up.

I'd like to have it set up for efficient solo farming, but still be team friendly, if that makes any sense. So it has to be Perma Dom (No Purple Attack Enhancements like Apoc and such) Only the cheap purples like the sleep, confuse, holds, immobilize. i'm on a tight budget.

Would like to be close to defense cap, but if i gotta chew on a purple or 2, im ok with it.

If any Dom Gods has any suggestions, i'd definately appreciate it.

Maybe give a build a shot in Mids just to give us an idea what you're going for? Ultimately you'll give us a better idea of what you're going for, and you might learn a few things or find some ideas.

Having us give you a build doesn't guarantee that you'll be happy with it, because we build for our playstyles which may not mesh.

This build will allow me to be Perma-Hasten and Perma-Dom. Really good defenses, heal capable every 6 secs, near immunity to status effects.

I don't have Mids in front of me at the moment, but off the top of my head I see a few things.

Take Earthquake at 18 and put 3 Recharges in it. It's a defining power and it's very valuable, especially on teams. Push back Aid Self to get it. You may find that you don't need Aid Self, since you'll have plenty of controls and Stony.

I personally prefer Stone Prison to Stone Cages. Doms don't need Cages for containment and they cancel out Earthquake. Prison also takes the immob set (obviously) and can be used to immob AVs.

It's been a while since I've rolled a /psy, but you'll probably want to slot Subdue with damage rather than an immob set.

Why no Psy Tornado? It's a solid AoE, which you'll want if you're farming. And since you're running Perma you won't need the mez protection from Indom. Will.

Hope this helps.

The reasoning for earthquake is so late, is i'm not overly depending on it aside from Achilles Proc. I know Stone Cages cancel the Earthquake knockback, but I dont want them knocked back, just the debuff applied.

Subdue is slotted for Immob for the purple set, and not widely used since i am using other control powers.

Currently I have a Farming Blaster, but my biggest killer are Stuns, Holds, and Sleeps. With the Psionic Epic, i prevent it permanently. With the addition of Psionic Defense/Resist and Link Minds being Permanent.

Darq, I get what you're saying from a build standpoint about Earthquake, but from a practical standpoint while leveling you will be miserable on an Earth/ Dom without it. While leveling Stalagmites alone isn't up often enough to use it every spawn. Being able to rotate out Stalagmites with Earthquake as each recharges is a godsend to a solo Earth/ Dom. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.

If I've misunderstood and this is a respec build for an already 50 Dom, pay me no never mind.

Earth quake is a knock down not knock back, so they dont move they just flop in place and between there inability to attack and the debuff if they do, it could open the door to a much cheaper build to not have to slot so many kinetic combat sets for the defense.

I know everyone gets fired up for defense, but really aside from an AV i find that controling a subject is much more effective and absolute then relying on a to hit roll of any kind.

With your recharge rate, volcanic gases will be near perma, as will stalagmites, so really with a bit of quicksands and EQ to fill in a gap here or there, then figure your in melee range likely with PSW which adds some stuns, it seems kinda overkill to worry about the cost of slotting for defense IMO. Also i dont get teh need for aid self. Psi has a regen boosting power that is more then adequate to keep your health going for you with no worry about interupts.
