Another defender to get an opinion on. This is a rough build, I'm sure it sucks. The one thing I don't want to get rid of is the Detention field, for griefing. XD

Detention Field is worth taking for STF on the recluse towers or for solo or small team purposes. It's not ideal but it has a (limited) function.

Where to start?
First, pick up another one of sonic's single target attacks, 1 attack will not cut it.
Pick up a shield from the APP/PPP pools, they are much stronger than tough/weave.
Repulsion Bomb is an attack and should be slotted as one.
Force Bubble and Assault are over-slotted, 1 endred in each should be fine.

* FF/Sonic is not a build that really benefits much from hasten- or global recharge in general. So that will save you a few hundred million inf. I agree with the "two single targets, plus howl" attack chain.

I've gotten much much better results building for ranged and AOE defense than I ever have from building for regen, or damage, or recharge. (No, I don't think four Force Field defenders is a lot... how many do you have?)

I agree with the previous that some stuff is over-slotted. My beef is with all those pricey jewels in Health; you shouldn't need a ton of recovery.

This is another case where a build can easily pick up some additional powers when I19 and inherent fitness comes along. This sonic build screams for 'Scream'.

I do not have a problem with shockwave, detention field, or slotting repulsion bomb as a stun. The damage from repulsion bomb is no nuke. The knockdown and potential stun in repulsion bomb are golden.

This again is a build where you could put the level 10 alternate build to good use. Team build wouldn't need detention field, but you might find use for it with tricky spawns that have a lot of tough targets. Coloring Detention field in a bright visible color would be a good idea. Solo build could slot more for damage in powers like repulsion bomb where your damage would be more important than on a team with traditional damage dealers.

A) Thanks for the advice, it'll be helpful. Been wanting to try a sonic.
B) What's that about 4 ff defenders? You kinda lost me. I only have 1. I have a bots/ff Mastermind as well. And I have a few defenders on my posts. But nah, just the one FF def.
C) Lol, detention field isn't really for grief purposes, although it is hilarious. I got it for the above-mentioned reasons. Although I really did get Tam with it. Heh, but only friends, and only rarely enough to keep it funny.

Also, I noticed this build seems a bit toggle heavy, and defenders seem to run out of end fairly easily. You sure the +end isn't necessary?

And if he had said he wanted it for that reason, I would have left it alone. But he specifically said that he wanted the power to grief people with, which I take a rather dim view on.

Dreadful Wail will probably rather lackluster with merely Amplify to boost its damage. It can certainly still end a fight, but it won't be as the first attack. I'd also definitely pick up at least Shriek, if not Shout too, and an APP/PPP. I personally like the Darkness APP as it's full of fun little tools such as an AoE stun toggle, self-rez, and, best of all, Soul Drain! It works best playing from melee range, however, so you'll kind of need to be into that.

If it was really meant as a joke, then I apologize. I didn't read far enough down to see your reference to it, and was just responding to Turbo's post. It didn't really read as a joke, and I have run across a number of players who WOULD use a power like that to grief people.

I don't like it when people take things *I* say out of context either. I try to avoid being a hypocrite, so I don't want to do the same thing to someone else.

Well, you're never going to get the team bonus to recovery on a FF, cause nobody's health moves all that much...

but with decent EndRed in your attacks, you should be OK.

... did anyone point out that Maneuvers isn't fully DEF-slotted? Every half-percent matters when your team is this close to the Defense cap.

( By the way, "four Force Fielders" is me, not you. S-Orbital, Deterrence, Protection Racket, and Fox Fox Sierra are all at level 30 or higher. )
