Random freezing

While I'm playing, the game will randomly freeze or lockup. The screen goes blank, usually only displaying a solid color, and the color isn't always the same.

I have to manually turn off the computer, as restarting will only restart the computer, but with the same solid colored screen.

I usually don't have problems with other games such as crysis, champions online, and even the new ffxiv beta, only with CoH.

I have a feeling it's a problem with my video card somehow but I'm just not sure what it is.

I recommend turnign down your Anti-aliasing settings, those are a performance kilelr which can cause major issues, and trying disabling vertical sync.

I had flickering black frames in Praetoria until I disabled Vsync and even got better performance after as well.

To me it could be an indication of overheating.
I will recommend that you check the temperatures of the CPU and the GPU.
