Capt America Pic
This costume works for me.
I know that it will look better on film than during some snap photography on location.
Comrade Smersh, KGB Special Section 8 50 Inv/Fire, Fire/Rad, BS/WP, SD/SS, AR/EM
Other 50s: Plant/Thorn, Bots/Traps, DB/SR, MA/Regen, Rad/Dark - All on Virtue.
-Don't just rebel, build a better world, comrade!
And lets remember, this is the WWII costume. We still have the modern costume to look forward to.
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
This is the stunt costume. Baggier and loose-fitting for stunts. You could not wear the form-fitting latex as suggested in the promo shots for Chris Evans and be expected to not only handle a motorbike at speed but also do physical stunts.
Ignore the patterning; it's a visual reference so when you see the guy for the fraction of a second on screen, you go 'oh, it's Captain America's costume'. As another poster correctly pointed out, you have the stunt and 'Hero' versions of movie costumes for all sorts of movies. Indiana Jones even. That fedora and jacket were tailored for Harrison Ford and him only. They certainly used a less weathered jacket and a cheaper hat for stunts.
Not remotely worried.

Edit: As for how Chris Evans will look like in the suit. So far, like this...
I'm not worried about the stunt guy bring overweight, they are shooting a driving gun battle I guess so the cuts will be so fast we won't notice the riders bulk.
I am ok with the costume, I always thought the comic depiction of his WW2 outfit was too.. stylized. BUT that ugly helmet needs to go, I'm sorry.
On the Upside... the director sounds like he knows the pitfalls of 3D conversion- that was my big worry about this film, considering how horrific the conversion is on other films. (you know its bad when you can make crap movie like the Clash remake look even WORSE) Also- I WANT ALL THOSE BIKES AND THE CAR!!!!!!!
(It is nice to see Cap's bike armed. I'm all for this being a comic character who doesn't use guns, but he is a soldier and it IS a world war, so no guns would be a glaring omission to a lot of viewers. Also, for some reason, that Thompson holster strapped to the front wheel just looks damn cool)
"Well, there's going to be some light music and a short note of apology saying, 'The universe ended last week, we're really sorry, we don't know what you're doing here, didn't you get the message?'"- Steve Moffat
