I think having a decent amount of information would be a good thing for each character. Maybe zone, amount of influence, and maybe a percentage that the character has until their next level (something like 'this character is 60% to level 43', instead of just showing 'level 42').

I'd love to see Merrit total, as well. It's a pain in the butt when Im trying to choose a character for a TF and I have to log in three in a row to figure out which one has the merrits that make it most worthwhile. I would imagine having the info available would be easier on the servers, as well.
Than agian...depending on how much data we're talking about being loaded for each character someone owns every time they're logging in...
I would like to be able to look at my toons at the log in screen and see how much influence each of them have... been a few times that I've logged into a toon and noticed there was 5 - 6 hundred mil that I had forgotton about and even deleted a toon that I hadn't realised was holding some as a stash.. xD
It would also save me logging in each one when I'm searching to fund a build...
