If you go Patron Power Pools, they all have a pet as their 4th tier. Leviathan Mastery even has water spout. So Ill/Storm/Levithan would be the original blueside mastermind. 
3 PA, spooky, Phanty (and decoy friend), tornado, Lightning storm, water spout, coralax. Ooooooo I want one now.
Electric is two btw.

But yeah, Illusion/Storm was always the one with the most.
Now if Controllers ever get /Traps then Illusion/Traps would be insane (with all the pets and pseudo-pets).

You want a blaster Mastermind? All the damage of a blaster and 6 pets.
Go Elec/Dev/Mace. With enough recharge you can have sparky, 2 gun drones, and 3 spiderlings out.

Was wondering how many pets a controller could have total amongst the pri/sec/pp?
Not very familiar with the new pp pets, but I think you get 1 in several of them.
Along those lines, an ILL or Fire/storm/pp would get you 6 or 7 pets with 2 tornadoes out.
Primary:
Illusion- 5 pets with pa, spectral terror (immob pet), and phantasm
Fire - 3 pets
electric - 2 or 3 pets?
Plant, ice, Earth- 1 pet
Secondary:
Storm- tornadoes
others?
Still learning and reading the forums, so my pet knowledge is at grasshopper level.
Bows humbly before the masters. Any distinct advantages of one pet over another? Despite the pa being invulnerable, would the other pets be more advantageous for being out longer to contribute more?
So, I am looking for a fun pet controller for diversity. I tend to solo alot, so having pets breaks the monotony of my solo toon. Not into MM's yet. Thanks ahead of time for your input.
