Just curious, not trying to be annoying or anything, but why not just list it on the in-game market?

I gaurantee that almost everyone who reads it here has a good idea what it going for and they won't overpay. Somebody might actually get a little nuts on the market tho'.

Just asking...

Just thought of a reason. If you don't have the listing fee you might bypass the market.

I would expect a secret-bid auction here to give better results than "I'm thinking of a number, guess something higher" listing there. You're selling to the most extravagant bidder - I put 100 million into a level 29 generic IO for no good reason, didn't I? - and not the first one to match your guess.

Also, with the lack of history anywhere in the last 10 levels, there's a real game of chicken going on. I sold a stealth for 120 million, but I'm pretty sure I could never do that again. There's another one within ten levels of mine for sale now.

Edit: And a bunch of wimps listed low and got 30-ish million for theirs.

Ok. Thanks I got you. I am not a mega ebiller like most of you guys but I paid 75 million for one before the merge and I think 87 post merge but I'm not certain.

My method for bidding is pretty simple. I have set max price I am willing to pay. Once I hit that ceiling, I don't buy. I don't care what it is.

I love stealth procs but with A merits a stealth proc is a week away on any post level 20. I just can't make myself top 100 million for a proc even a low level one. Eventually everyone is going to realize that they can take a level 20 toon, get XP and drops running tips and be gauaranteed a proc and the price is gonna drop.

But that's OK too. Maybe if people (non marketers) see that they can buy stuff at a lower price then the market will be healthier.
