DP/KIN - fender or corruptor?

Well if you don't care about min/max differences, then it doesn't really matter which you choose. Both have comparable damage and buff capabilities, particularly with the new vigilance added to defenders.
If you want to experience the new content in Praetoria, you can start out as either corruptor or defender and not have to choose to be hero or villain until later in your career.
I have a dp/kin and I find it fun to play conceptually.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

Just can't decide now what DP to start with. With the corr DP/KIN versus KIN/DP def I'll be outputting more dmg on the corr right? The blaster I will do with traps I think for fun. But can't decide between the corr or def versions. Am totally stoked to see some of these changes tho, especially the emailing inf/enhs WOW did I ever think I would never see that happen in CoH. |
Personally, if I was to go with the combo of Dual Pistols and Kinetics...I'd go Corr. I'd rather level up and get my blasts quick, then get Falcrum Shift 6 levels earlier.

I was recently in the same situation. Went with Kin/DP Def. You get better numbers from your pool powers (leadership especially. Will help if you want a +defense build), you get your kin powers earlier. You don't have to choose between stamina and speed boost at level 20. You get transference and fulcrum earlier. At the end of the day, when boosted by Fulcrum, your damage is gonna be largely the same (before Scourge). Hail is fairly underwhelming so there's no rush to get that as early as possible, and it will be nice to already have Fulcrum once you do get it.
