Expand salvage storage... by a lot

It's kind of weird that salvage storage is only as big as your own personal salvage capacity - with badges and the vanguard bag, your carrying capacity actually ends up much LARGER than the storage. That doesn't make any kind of sense and it really limits the usefulness of the storage banks.

I say make it at least 2-3 times larger than it is - enough so that it will always be able to store much more salvage than you can carry on yourself.

In addition to that, there should be a recipe storage bank as well, for holding on to rare recipes that you plan on making later, without having to use up a market slot or risk accidentally selling them by carrying them around with you.

1) Increase Salvage Storage Capacity?
Sure. (Yes, there will be "hoarding" arguments.)

2) Recipe Storage Bank?
Well, I'd rather not add another type of storage, if there's another way. What do you think of the method that has been proposed before, of placing Recipes in the Salvage storage bins, but having them take up more (say, three?) slots than salvage would? Example: An expanded bin would hold 90 salvage or 30 Recipes or 1 recipe and 87 salvage or some other combination.

3) What recipes would you need to store uncrafted? Currently, you can store most (but not all) of them by crafting them into enhancements and storing the enhancements.
Exceptions:
Costume pieces (fairly cheap)
Temp Powers (fairly cheap)
Respec Recipes (Fairly che....no, wait. Not so much )
But the "Hoarding of expensive stuff off-market" excuse based off of Respec Recipes falls when you consider Purples and PvP IOs, which can be crafted and stored currently.

After careful consideration, I rate this idea a "Meh. Sure, why not?"

i agree with the storage expansion idea. My duo sg has maxed out its storage bins and every now and then i have to empty out the bins. About a day or 2 days after ive emptied them i find that certain bits i've sold i needed XD. I tend to make up good recipes for future alts and store them in one of the enhance bins i got so having the salvage already in the base is an advantage for me, saves having to go to the market and spending 5/10mins while waiting on bids to fill.

If say they upped the salvage bins to 100 or 200 each one and the enhance one to say 200 or 250 it would make things a mite easier for me.

I'm not a hoarder by nature but when i can save myself money by crafting a recipe ive had drop and storing it til needed, or having salvage to hand so i can make recipes up.... i use the tools given to me.

Recipe storage well it'd be good for me, i can hop on a new toon, go nab say a draconic wings recipe and salvage from my base's storage and craft there and then. All i'd have to do is make it to a tailor.

I have made this point repeatedly since they reduced the salvage rack capacity back in i13. At that time, we were told that it would be re-evaluated after a while... it's been a while... a looooooooonnnng while.

I've made this point repeatedly as well. Salvage racks should at least be on par with the capacities of other storage units (100)... at the very least.

Players have asked for this, again.. repeatedly. I am not opposed to it but neither am I overly concerned about it, since, as has been pointed out, one can craft and store using the enhancement bins (which hold 100 items).

Would it be fair to say that if a recipe takes an average of 3 pieces of salvage, that being able to store an enhancement is the equivalent of storing 4 of the items needed to create it?

Seems fair to me to be able to get more salvage storage per bin.

we already have this. it is called an enhancement table.

Respec recipes, costume recipes and temp power recipes can't be stored in the enhancement table
Mentioned in a previous post.

What about using the Email system for those?

With all the problems we've been having with globals, i don't trust the e-mail system as it is atm. One time i put a recipe in an e-mail, alted instantly to claim it but LO AND BEHOLD! global system was down and i lost it for good. Yes i realise it was only worth 20mil but what if it'd been a heca or apoc purp? I now use my partner to hold my recipes/inf if i need to swap it over.

Having something to store recipes would be nice and how about having some sort of "account bank" for inf across your account? That'd solve the inf transfer problem too cause i know a few people like myself that won't use e-mails with attachments

I don't have a problem with this idea per se, it's just that salvage is not expensive/rare enough to be worthwhile to take the time to store, so I don't really care.
