"Smallville" Casts Desaad and Gordon Godfrey, Michael Ironside retruning

As most "Smallville" fans know, the principle villain for the tenth and final season will be Darkseid. While the Producers have said Darkseid will not appear in person right away, his minions, the New Gods of Apokolips, will. MTV.com is reporting that two of Darkseid's minions have now been cast: Desaad and G. Gordon Godfrey.
Steve Byers has been cast as Desaad. Desaad is Darkseid's key lackey from the original New Gods stories by Jack "King" Kirby. Byers is perhaps best known for his roles in "Falcon Beach" and "Wild Roses." He has also appeared on CSI: Miami," "The Dresden Flies and "Mutant X."
Michael Daingerfield has been cast as G. Gordon Godfrey. Godfrey was a key player in the first company-wide crossover following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Legends. Daingerfield previously guest starred on Smallville in the third season episode "Shattered" as an assassin. He also voiced the role of Superman on the first episode of "Krypto the Super Dog", "Krypto's Scrypto".
Desaad and Godfrey both debut during the upcoming season's third episode, "Supergirl", which also features the return of Laura Vandervoort as the Girl of Steel.
