When powered heroes lose their powers, how many fall back on technology or natural skill?

The depowered mutant I think of helping a lot is Richtor on X-Factor. He's still a full fledged member last I checked.

Brian Bendis has a book, Powers, on a hero who is depowered, and continues to fight crime. Hero becomes a cop on the superhero related crime department. It's a fun and vulgar read.
