Anyone can softcap to something, it's softcapping to something and having a toon that does everything else good too thats the objective. So you would say not neglect getting key powers properly buffed from slotting like you would with SOs and softcap def.

Oh, man....

Okay, you did indeed reach the softcap, but you gave very few attacks, those attacks are not optimally slotted, and you have some...unusual power shoices.

Plus, you seem to indicate that money is no object via the Gladiator Proc, but you are not getting very much 'bang for the buck.'

But that's okay, it's a learning experience.

I dug into my pile 'o builds and pulled out a project toon that I will probably never even start, but is gonna be fun anyway.

This is in inv/fire/fire meant to be a max-damage speedster with HUGE self-heals. (I can't figure out dark, so I was trying to get the same effect, lol.) It is ridiculously expensive and would have to team or eat blues like candy, but it would tank like nobody's business and also do monster damage for as long as the end bar holds out.

You should also look up Call Me Awesome's guide to softcapping an Invuln, it lays things out nicely for you.

At least drop out aid other and aid self for Incinerate and Greater Fire Sword!

A soft-capped invuln tank shouldn't need aid self.

You gotta admit, aid self recharging every seven and a half seconds would be difficult to take down.

It was an experiment.

As for attacks, it has so much +recharge that it does not need any more attacks to build an attack chain. So why take more? I actually thought about slotting up aid-other rather than char and being the 'heavy medic' on teams. :P

It is a strange build, but it shows that with proper slotting, you can easily cap an invuln tank even on builds considerably outside the 'mainstream' of consensus.

You might think it's ugly, but that guy would tank like a ****.

Of course, the five sets of purples would make it a bit...pricey. LOL!

My problem with Aid Self is a cast of 4,33s of which any thing can happen in that time although Invuln does have a good aura a taunt would be nice in AV fights.

It's not a case of dropping key powers its a case of not slotting them well and getting softcap.

Dullpain 1 slot, a passive like Rel with 6 slots. Rel doesn't need an end redux of 97.5%, Unyielding however being one slot is running at full end cost and accepts the same slotting. Tough Hide 6 slots, you;ve used 6 slots to go from 5% to 8% def. 6 slots for 3% and some bonuses is not maximising the build. You should look to get the most out of a slot if you want to maximise your characters potential. Each slot should contribute as much to the build as possible. PvP slots v expensive making it a very expensive build with a net end rec of just 1.8eps.

Oh my is that ever one awful build. Going down the list your power selection itself isn't horrible, but it could certainly be improved. Your slotting though is just about as bad as I've ever seen. Even leaving aside gross mistakes like leaving Dull Pain & Unyielding unslotted your IO choices don't make sense.

You're an Invuln tanker, as such you have a hefty amount of typed defense already. That being the case, why are you slotting for Positional defenses with Touch of Death, Titanium Coating, Gausian's, Obliteration and, of all things, Induced Coma? This doesn't even go into the massive expense of this build, that Gladiator's Armor 3% def unique will cost you 2 BILLION inf all by itself if you can even get it at all. All told you're spending something south of 3 billion influence on this thing to gain a fraction of the effectiveness you could get for 50-100 million.

I'd highly recommend you read my first 20 levels guide for Invuln followed by my soft cap guide and then start your build over from scratch. I hope this isn't anything like your current live build.

The idea of this build was just to figure it out. The soft cap build I will make is for my Spines/Dark as a secondary build. I thought this might be easier to learn on.
