Going Rogue killed my modem!
yeah... i know this was a joke, but these things shouldn't be posted.
One thing I have seen a lot of esp. here in the country in Oklahoma, is the heat is tearing up Satellite Modems and equipment.
Been very lucky myself, But I can't stress enough to peeps with any kind of electronics. Keep those air ports clear so that the devices do not overheat.
My sister in law had her Sat Modem just fall on it's side, which caused her internet to shut down completely, until we discovered what had happened.
My sister, had her Cox Modem sitting in her Western window, this had bad results also, as the sunlight focused it's rage on that one device.
Anyways, as much as we should look out for signs of heat damage to each other, It never hurts to keep an eye out on your tech gear also friends.

Stress is difficult, and causes irreparable damage to our bodies. I wonder how many years the forums owe me?

So last week I finished up a session of CoH and the 670MB update starts to load after I log out. I decide to let it upload and I go to do some other things before I go to bed. I come back about an hour later and find it is hung up at about 220MB. I quit the updater and then I notice the DSL connection and internet traffic lights are out on my modem. Power cycling the modem doesn't help. So after a call to AT&T support and a house call from a technician, the diagnosis is one dead modem. The poor thing must have worked too hard downloading all that data. NCSoft you owe me $50 for a new modem! :P
