Reordering characters across "pages"?

I finally used up enough slots with characters I actually like to get some extra slots.

So... I now have a slot on another page. Is there any way for me to reorder characters between that page and the first page?

Yup, just drag the character down to the arrows on the bottom left, and it should change pages for you.

You should be able to "click-n-drag" one character over another and they'll switch places.
I think the "columns" will scroll if you drag your selected character towards the right or left sides of the screen.

Huh, I thought to try dragging to the arrows, but it didn't seem to work. I'll try sides of the screen.

Another option would be to edit your playerslot.txt file. That file is nothing more than the order that your characters are displayed in the character select screen. You may not have such a file though, as it seems that the game doesn't create them automatically. So here's the instructions on where to create the file and such:

-- Go to your CoH program folder (usually C->Program Files->City of Heroes) and find the folder with your login name (like in my case its named "pyber").

-- Open that folder and inside create a blank notepad file and save it as "playerslot.txt" (its important that it is created blank with no text in the file!)

-- Boot up the game and go to your character select screen. Then exit the game.

-- Return to the folder where you created the playerslot.txt file and open it.

-- You should now have a list of all your characters on the server that you logged into. Simply change the number within the quotation marks to change what slot that character will be in on the character select screen. Save and close.

-- Repeat the last three steps for each server you want to reorder character slots on.

Hope that's what you're looking for and that it helps!

EDIT: If you find that you do have a playerslot.txt file already, simply edit the existing one per the last couple steps.
