I am very partial to yellow lightning.
That should work nicely with red Radiation Emission too.
I personally stay with the original lightning colors. They look great to me 
However, I also tried a few variations of Gold-Purple and also Purple-Green that looked pretty decent.
Colors I would avoid are darker colors and neutrals like grey and black. You are shooting energy afterall and it should light up the room. Reds don't impress me that much either, but that is just a personal thing.

Pink lightning (like Biospark's avatar) is also very cool, if you've read Grant Morrison's "Crisis Times Five" JLA arc.
Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt gets ret-conned into a 5th dimensional imp (like Mr. Mxzyptlk) called "Yz" who is summoned by his name being spoken backwards ("Cei-u") and appears in a burst of pink lightning.
And yeah, I realise that may be complete gibberish if you haven't read DC comics
Electric really does look best as it's original color. But Orange looks good as well as Light blue for both powersets.

What color combinations would be good for her electric powers? I made most of her rad powers look bright reddish. Any recommendations for my defender? I have soo many lvl 50's I don't recall each ones powers. Especially when I am the pc at work going thru the forums here. Thanks for any tips.
