More Invention Temporary Powers
I'd imagine the goggles would just boost perception.
I like the idea of crafting items to get special missions.
This, as well as special mission maps that would have special repeatable glowies from which you can gain temp powers from would all be part of a dream issue I would call Issue XX: Locked And Loaded
Sub-Machine Gun: 10 uses, allows player to use VEAT Burst (Moderate lethal damage, -def), bonus points if we get a new Heckler And Koch-esque SMG model for it instead of the- I don't know what.
Riot-gun: 8 uses a special Riot Gun power. (Riot Gun: 1 sec. act. time, 3 sec. rech, 60 foot range, 15 degree cone, 4 max targets, 12 end per-use, base acc x1.10, high lethal damage) Uses a stocked Shotgun model instead of the usual stockless, also animation would involve using the said stock.
LAW: 1 use for basically LRM launcher from the Blaster APP with nerfed range and a -res component (to fit with the theme of it being anti-tank)

Half of those don't make sense at all, and some of those remaining have been requested before but have been shot down because of not being supported by the game engine.
Most of these sound like ideas from the long lost skills system.

The pvp zones also have several versions of stealth.
I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.
There should be the following temporary powers from recipes:
1. Lock Picks: allows you to open locked doors that need a key.
2. Camera: takes a picture as a mission objective. (Go shoot pictures of X)
3. Computer Hackers Kit: again mission objective (Go hack the computers for X group for evidence)
4. Stealth Suit: Allows you to turn invisible for X minutes (toggle).
5. Wire Tap: Mission objective wire tap the offices of X group. Allows you to plant Y bugs.
6. Finger Print Kit: allows you to take evidence from glowies... mission objective.
7. Molotov Cocktail: creates a burn patch.
8. Rebreather: allows you to enter hostile environments like gas or swim under water. (toggle X minutes)
9. Magnetic Boots: allows you to walk up the sides of buildings / ceilings (toggle X minutes)
10. Anti-gravity belt: allows you to hover (toggle for X minutes)
11. Caltrops: allows you to throw out X groups of caltrops which do their regular thing.
12. Thermal Imaging Glasses: allows you to see stealthed characters (Toggle for X minutes).
13. Movement Detector: makes enemy NPC's show up on your map... toggle x minutes & limited range.
14. Holy Water Vial: thrown AOE weapon which only affects undead but does High Damage.
