Possible to Move Entry Room?

I just started a solo SG base with the intent to make some storage for my many alts. Being able to email all the stuff from every character to this character with GR will even eliminate the need to find help getting all the Alts into the SG.

Anyway, I had in mind to move the entryway to the center of the Grid. But, it won't seem to let me.

Is this possible? If so, what am I doing wrong.

I played with base editing WAY a long time ago, but I don't think I ever tried. Or, I just don't remember.

The trick to moving ANY room in your base is to not try anything that would disrupt base continuity. If moving the entry chamber makes one part of the base inaccessible to any other, it won't work. Without being in your base, to see how it's arranged and what the entry and connecting rooms contain, I have no way of being more specific.

As a possible workaround, try moving the GRID so that the entry room is centered. Simply proceed as if you're trying to upgrade the plot, pick the same plot you're already using, and shift it. The only rule you can't break with THAT process is having to keep all the existing rooms within the confines of the new grid location. I've done this several times, at least once for the same reason ("moving" the entrance).

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

The Upgrade Plot trick worked. Thanks!

I meant it literally when I said just started. The entryway is my only current room.

Yeah in that case, it isn't possible outside of the Upgrade Plot "trick."

Heh, I didn't exactly translate "just started" being the same as the "only current room", or that would've been the only thing I'd suggested.

Glad you got it working.

You got me all excited for a moment. The following phrase jumped off the screen as an isolated statement:

And I thought to myself, "WHAAAAT!!?!?!?! GR is going to allow for you to invite your own toons to an SG! YESSS!!!"

By the way, there will still be one pretty big advantage to getting someone to invite your alts for you--prestige. Much better to have all (or most) of your alts generating prestige than just one.

I just know someone somewhere is gonna read what I said, without reading the context the original statement was made in. The next thing you know, they will end up posting, "Hey! I heard that Going Rogue is going to let us invite our own alts to SGs!" and then they will commence complaining about it, threatening to cancel their subscription, and screaming how the game and all the devs suck, when it, of course, doesn't happen.
