No, no... this has my vote all the way... I shall no longer pronounce it as FRED and shall now use...

This thread needs a linguist!

Me, I've been saying it "pray-TOH-ree-ah". I wish I had the linguistics terms to describe it. "ae" is always a long A to me... I'm in the category of "speaking romance languages" (French) and "singing classical music".
