Graphics Settings Help

So, I'm looking to edge up my performance by tuning down my graphics settings since I can't tune up my graphics card. What settings are the biggest performance hogs?

I've done some experiments, but while I'm able to completely gut my visuals, I haven't been able to figure out what works best for improving the (edited) Performance.

24" 2007 iMac, 4 meg Ram, crappy ATI,RadeonHD2600

MY desktop natively runs in 1920 x 1200 so that's where I have the game set also. I get fidgetty when I can't alt-tab out of the game.

Sounds like we have the same iMac, except you have more RAM. I was just looking for some guide to recommended graphics settings. Hopefully, someone with more computer savvy than me will provide some help.

I have Reflections set to low, Water set to High, Shadows set to High, Ambient Occlusion OFF, and FSAA OFF.

No, I have a Macbook Pro with the nVidia 330M.

Wow, FSAA off makes a ginormous difference. I had it to the lowest setting but still on, turned it off and its literally the difference between a rikti raid slideshow and smooth maneuvering while inside bases and pocket D.

If anyone else is on an iMac and having performance issues, seriously turn that sucker off!

Also, I kind of like the look better with it off than on, so double bonus.

Edit: Water works tehse days, looks nice, but Shadows high is also very resource intensive. Low works better for old/weak iMacs.
