Any advice for a DP/NRG build?

Alright, so I'm not sure if this is even the most favorable pvp build. All I know is that it's the most popular Dual Pistols build going. And I'm really trying to work with what I've got to make her into the ultimate killing machine. Any ideas on what powers to keep and what powers I should ditch? Right now I'm thinking about getting ridda either Empty Clips or Bullet Rain simply because it's not single target dmg. I'm still not sure on some of the EM powers though. I know I have boost range and build up and those are the only two self buffs I've got in the whole set.

isn't going to happen. DPs root times are way long and the damage is fairly lackluster as well as having the lack of aim to frontload damage and the fact that anything other than fire bullets does nothing for you(and even then). not saying that DP isn't a viable toon, but your money and time would be better invested in something else.

Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

ultimate killing machine is really not going to happen.

I'd get:
from pistols:
pistols, dual wield, suppressive fire, *maybe* executioners. Only reason I would get piercing is for the -dr debuff, and that is a maybe. The way granted resists work, swap ammo probably isnt going to give a big bonus, though the dot with fire might be worth having. maybe empty clips for spamming mm's.

from em:
bu, cp, pb, br

The basic idea is you have enough recharge to jump around spamming pistols and dual wield (which I would proc heavily, probably 3 procs each, all the wierdo procs, at least in pve, trigger for all ammo types), with boost range going, and suppressive fire with power boost+boost range to stun people for a decent amount of time. Executioners shot if you get real close, though it may reduce your dps if you have enough recharge for pistols/dual wield. But basically you pressure someone hard with proc'd pistols/wield.

I'd probably go with leadership, ice mastery, sj and ss.

Ya know, I thought the reason EM was so popular was because those melee attacks were so damn powerful (at least when they're used against me. >.<) But yall haven't mentioned them at all. And forgive me, but what do you mean by proc? (I'm not really on the forums that much and took a leave from CoX for awhile.)

So fitness has no play in that whatsoever? Does conserve power make up for it?

Procs are the "Chance for +X", "Chance for -X" or "Chance for X Damage" IOs.

Pool picks would be Fitness, speed, leadership, leaping and Ice mastery.

As for the EM power picks, Power Thrust, Build Up and Boost Range are no brainers. The other powers are a matter of opinion, some people take Conserve Power, some people take Power Buildup and some take Total Focus. I'd go with PT, BU, BR and PB (TF maybe as a back up.)

As for Pistols, I wouldn't bother with anything other than the Single Target powers...

Seriously? 3 procs? That seems like waste if you ask me. Why do you suggest that? I already have a chance for heal in executioner's shot and let me tell you one out of every 20 power activations triggers that heal. You don't think those slots could be used for something better like actual buffing enhancements?

You REALLY want/need the Damage procs since they are unresisted, and your main damage type is lethal. The +heal isn't worth it imo.

So, no the slots wouldn't be better spent.

Then what enhancements would you suggest for the other three slots?

He is not saying you slot all three in each attack, he is giving examples of what the "procs" are. If you have the cash, and I mean a lot of it, you should slot a Glad Jav proc in each ranged attack.

You can 6 slot one ranged attack power with 5 apocalypse(including the chance for negative dmg) and one Glad Jav Chance for Toxic Damage.

You are wasting a slot with sloting the worthless chance for self heal proc.

I have not played a DP blaster but I would probably go something like this:

You could always drop cp for swap ammo but not really sure how much it would that could help you.
