Demon/Poison

I may have missed it but i didn't see any info on this combo.

I know that on most MMs the personal attacks are crap but I was wondering about a synergy between the whip attacks and poison. It seams to me that this combo could make a nasty debuffer, maybe an AV killer.

Any thoughts?

I have a level 50 robots/poison, a level 50 Thugs/poison, and I am working on a Demons/poison at level 37. I think that poison gets a bad rap. It's very capable of big game hunting.

There is definite -resistance stacking from the whip attacks and the poison set. You also add a layer to resistance debuff with attacks of the hellfire demonling and the hellfire gargoyle.

It's shaping up to be kind of a scrappermind. Keeping bodygiuard mode on and just mid range meleeing with the -res whip. That +Poison turns most mobs to jelly. Can't wait til I get the tier 9 for poision and make my demons stinky.

You got it. The debuffs get spread around because the only thing that stacks from yourself in poison is the -regen on the tough bosses. When you get to level 32 abysmal empowerment on the demon prince, the slow in his aura and the slow in neurotoxic breath bring your foes almost to a halt even without the chance to hold in neurotoxic breath.

my first MM ever is Demonz/Poison....

I am sorta liking the set but I am afraid that the debuffs are kinda ST...is this good or bad? I can really feel the Masterscrapper feel since I am taking the whips and not antidote and Elixer of life.

Any comments or tips?

What is poison like? Im trying to decide between a demon/poison and demon/force field, Ive played MM before but never any of those sets though reading through the numbers on poison makes it sound really quite deadly.

I can't be bothered to think of something amazingly wise or witty to show how much of a genius I am, just take my word for it.

Poison is more single target, but the single target debuffs are on a quick recharge. I highly recommend Hasten for poison users. On my level 50 masterminds, if I were given the chance to fight a hero/AV of which I knew nothing, and the lower minions were engaged by teammates or didn't matter, I would want to take my Robots/Poison against it. The single target debuffs, useful out of the box, are designed for big game hunting. There is also the big debuff, what I call the 'stinky britches', noxious gas that your mastmind casts on your sturdiest minion usually such as: the Assault Bot or the big Bruiser in thugs. There is a chance to hold that ticks as long as noxious gas is active that will detoggle and hold anything including Statesman or Lord Recluse.

Poison can take on missions +3/X1, forcefields takes on +1/X8 but takes 5-10 minutes to mop up. Forcefields can make your pets near indestructible with soft cap defense. Poison is the single target debuff king. They are both competitive and successful and both bring a LOT of benefits to teams but they are about polar opposite.
