Quick Question, -Dam and Res together

How do -damage effects on the target and resistance buffs on yourself work together?

Say that you apply a -25% dam power on a mob that can do a 100 damage attack. And you have 50% resistance to that type of attack. Is it as simple as they now do 75 damage to you, and then you resist 50% of that for a final damage of 37.5?

Is it that simple?

(I'm looking at this in the context of a Kin/Sonic 'fender using Siphon Power and Fulcrum Shift against a hard target for 50% -dmg, while also having some high resistances himself)

Yes it is!*

* Many mobs (i.e. AVs and such) have a huge amount of various debuff resistance... I can't recall if either -damage or -res are resisted, but it's possible... off to Paragonwiki!

Edit: It looks like there is indeed no resistance to -damage or -res! Huzzah!

Incorrect; Damage Resistance is the resistance to both -res and -dam.

(Note that despite the fact that res resists -res, a -X% res debuff still causes you to deal +X% more damage)
