Help with Inv/SS
I think you can go a few different ways with Inv/SS. If you have a Mids builder and more info about what you like to get upto it'll help. You can soft cap to all but Psi with one build and then have a Psi def and Res second build which has good end recovery if you wanted or do what some people do, gain soft cap in S/L so that they can tank Lord Recluse the way they like to tank Lord Recluse.
It's always best if people see what sort of a build you do and in a way it speeds things up for them. Most people use Mids Herobuilder. Sometimes you can spend time on a build or a post of advice, say an hour and never know if that person ever read any of it. There is plenty of stuff floating about the forums ie guides as well.

Yeah, I've actually found a few threads that were helpful. I couldn't find anything about a rotation though. Honestly it's been so long since I've played that I'm going to need to spend some time getting to understand the new content before I really know how I need to slot and whatnot.

Hi, I haven't played in years and have recently gotten back into the game. My main is a Inv/SS tank and I was just wondering with all the new content that has been released what some of the best builds are and what rotations I should be using in end game content to not be fail. Thanks in advance for any help!

I haven't played a /SS tanker to any significant level yet so my knowledge of that set is secondhand and/or theoretical. You'll absolutely want Knock Out Blow, Rage, Foot Stomp and you're stuck with Jab. I personally recommend that any tanker who intends to play the meatshield role to take Taunt; I can't help but believe that a 0 endurance, autohit ranged AOE attention getter with a range debuff is way too useful to skip. You won't want Hand Clap due to it's rather sizeable knockback and Hurl is questionable due to it's long animation.

Just saw the bit about attack chains... really there's no "thou shalt use this attack, then this, then that" for any set except Dual Blades. Personally I tend to lead off with my largest AOE attack, so for /SS that would be Foot Stomp. After that use your single target attacks on a likely boss or LT and keep an eye on the rest of the team... if you get loose mobs attacking the squishies then taunt those mobs to get them to you. Other than that, just pound on the enemies and hit Foot Stomp as it recharges... as long as there's several mobs on you that is. Obviously use your strongest attacks as they're recharged and your lesser attacks as fillers.

In all honesty since you're just starting out again and have a lot of catch up to do you may want to spend some time just getting the feel of the game; I don't know when you quit playing but this isn't the same game now that it was a couple of years ago to say nothing of what it was at launch.
The whole gamut of powers, enhancements, IO bonuses and the like can be overwhelming if you take it all at once. Break things into smaller pieces and get used to playing the game before you get into really complex IO builds. Once you're ready for that my two guides should help your Invuln tanker, they're linked in my signature. I recommend you at least look through the first 20 levels guide even if you're already high level, it discusses the all-important foundation powers and provides a template to build your tank.
Oh, everyone on the boards uses an invaluable tool, Mid's Hero Designer in planning their builds. I'd recommend downloading it and working out your build. All the guides will reference this program and most will provide sample builds in Mid's format.

Yeah, I have Mids and actually worked out a nice softcapped build. He's a level 50, just haven't played in almost 2 years.
It's the build as a whole that counts, not one particular IO. Is the tank already high level or is it still a lowbie? A character under 30 is generally better served with standard SO enhancements; I typically start thinking about IO builds about level 30.

Get Sands of Mu.
It can't be enhanced, so accuracy is a problem, but you're runnign Rage and Invincibility, so accuracy is NOT a problem for Inv/SS.
It does good damage that can't be enhanced, and as a result, is not affected by the Rage crash either.
It's almost as if it were made for Inv/SS tankers.
Ok Rather then make my own post ill jump onto this one to ask my own questions. I have but one tank. He is a Inv/SS and I just put a build together for him in mids and would like to share with you all. Could you look it over and tell me what you think. Thanks 8)

Actually, Myster_Hero, I prefer your original build to RadTech, primarily because RadTech's has way more F/C defense than is needed and not enough defense to S/L/E/NE, which are much more common damage types.
Here's my revision of your build, the changes I made include:
Slotting changed to increase E/NE and F/C defense. The Kinetic Combat sets are expensive, but allow you to soft-cap S/L with fewer slots, leaving room to build up your other defense. If you can't afford to get them immediately, consider using Smashing Haymaker temporarily and replace them with KC when you can.
Dropping Unstop for ResEn; once you're close to soft-capped you won't need Unstop much at all, and ResEnd has very useful end drain resistance. (Also, Invul does NOT need additional KB protection!)
Swapping TI and RPD. TI is "take immediately", RPD should be taken, but can wait. If you can work RPD in the twenties, fine, but there's no way TI should wait until the 40s.
Conserve Power instead of Focused Accuracy. FA is a huge end hog, and you can get the same +percep and +toHit with a couple of IOs if you really want it.
Slotting CJ for defense. The typed defense bonuses you get with BotZ are so pitiful now you're much better off just slotting CJ for defense.
LotG in defense powers. If you can afford to slot the +Recharges as I show in my build, all the better. However, 4 slotting LotG for the bonuses is worth it even without the +Recharge. GotA also has good bonuses and is an option you might want to consider.

You should have generally enough protection in Unyielding. In special cases with Unyielding could you of been knocked down in the past.
I am not a big believer in going "here is my build" or spending ages on a completely new build so I just took Finduilas's build and played with it for 5 mins however I am sure it can be improved. If you wanted to soft cap to all but psi, have a good tank and something that's quite an offensive little bugger then it's doable.

I'm about to do a slight respec on my main Tanker, Furious Flea (Inv/SS). I had set him up with Super Speed, but decided that I just like Super Jump more. I have all the enhancements already on him and I can vouch for the effectiveness of the build.
Flea can burn through endurance a little, so it helps to have a few blue inspirations on hand or some teammate help. It isn't a cheap build, but it's not too terribly expensive. Almost the entire cost is wrapped up in the Impervium Armor sets, which I wanted both for the psi resistance and the ability to exemp down a little while retaining the set bonuses.
The Numbers: Capped S/L resist (90%), 28.4% psi resist, and over 30% resist to everything else. Over 30% defense to everything except psi (22.8%) assuming only one opponent. Capped S/L defense at 8 opponents, capped Fire/Cold at 9, and capped Nrg/Neg at 10.

Hi, I haven't played in years and have recently gotten back into the game. My main is a Inv/SS tank and I was just wondering with all the new content that has been released what some of the best builds are and what rotations I should be using in end game content to not be fail.
