Fire/Radiation Superteam
I have the Talk to the Hispanic mission just in case anyone 35+ needs the badge. I'll run it just before we're ready to roll.
From July 20th to October 7th, playing regularly only on Tuesdays and Thursdays (badging on off days), Rum and Coca Cola, my fire/rad, hit 50 in 87 hours. Not too bad, really.

Didn't you have XP turned off for a bit, too?

Indeed I did. I turned it off when we had that rush of new folks join the ST. I was also level pacted so anytime Nibbler wasn't on it slowed down the xp too.

Yeah but you get patrol xp so it all works out in the wash. Gratz to all the 50s.
Had a good time Trick or Treating and doing the events as they popped up last night. 8 hot feet + 8 AM + 24 imps makes for some quick Trick or Treats.

Fun team, as always. Has anyone heard anything about costume drop rates? I only got one all night (played for about six hours last night - whew), and none once I joined the Fire/Rad team.
Not a big deal since we got all the new badges from running the tip mission five times as a team, but still seemed odd.
This could be my individual perception, but I noticed that when I solo ToT'd, I got 14 costumes in an hour, 5 tips and maybe 20 tricks. When I teamed, I got one costume and one tip and countless tricks.
I don't seem to be alone in the thinking/observation that soloing the ToT process seems a better way to get the costumes, but teaming is a better way to get the defeat badges.
Not to mention the time it saves when trying for the banners.
What were your thoughts on the efficiency of the Fire/Rad vs the kinetic? (though the kinetic team still needs a few levels for any comparison to be fair)

A couple of people hit 50 on their f/rads running a STF. Tried to do something I saw on youtube with team tp'ing into the 4 patrons, but it didn't work out so well. We ended up pulling them, got 3 out of 4 (all but BS). Defeated them without much hassel. Someone flew above LR and blasted at him while we were taking down the towers, then we took care of him.
I'm real pro at taking screenshots, so the picture I took has no ui in it.

Was it this video Hazy?

Turned out they had a fire/ff helping so they had bubbles and the big bubble to help with stuns and such. And they had all maneuvers and I guess bubbles so they were probably defense capped. The winged dude was apparently a judge for some online radio contest.
You pulled it off with 6 fire rad controllers and one fire/rad corruptor.
Great job.
Yes, it's true; Hazy led the team. However, let's not lose sight of the fact that for a Fire/Rad Corruptor, you tanked Recluse very well.
Pat yourself on the back, too.

Most of us had manuevers too, I just think some forgot to pop purples and break frees when we were going in the first time.

Indeed, it was some pro tanking. Even though I enjoy giving him a hard time, Crusha is still an excellent player to team with.

Nothing wrong with my back, just don't stand in front of me with no pants on.
After the first few attempts tanking Recluse failed I knew I had to be at over 110% ranged defense. Purples were being mailed in and handed off like mad so at that point it was smooth like butter.
My point about the bubbler is that it makes it much safer. Without proper insp usage we were going to have a tough time tping into the 4 of them.
Here are the numbers on the FF alone:
Maneuvers - 4.18%
Deflection Shield - 18% S/L, Melee
Insulation Shield - 18% F/C, N/E, Ranged and AOE
Dispersion Bubble - 12% All Defense, 11 mag hold protection
So the bubbler alone is adding 34% defense to all so everyone else would just need one purple or maneuvers from everyone would put them well over the top (another 6 maneuvers adds 24%).
The 11 mag hold protection should be good enough for everyone except GW and she may not be able to hit anyway with enough tohit debuffs on her.
Again, great job and we all come away from this learning a bit.
I learned that I'm more awesome now than ever before. Go me.
I'll probably be late to tonights meeting, if I'm able to make it at all. Some work stuff needs to be taken care of and I dont know how long it will take.
