Personally the more your alive the more you can summon the pets that are dead.. So I would go defense cap.. Sadly not much you can do to get a lot of defense with DS Pain.
This is what I have atm..
First build gives you Smash Lethal Energy Ranged cap.. Swap out Combat jump for Hover.. Though your endurance ratio will drop..

I am more in favor of the 2nd build because I do not think I can out heal the aggro my pets will get.. No travel power able to be slotted here though.

Thanks for the response Plain Guy. I was wondering mind would it be worth working towards large Recharge and Regen/HP as with as I should be able to get 55+ Resistance in most areas, almost like working on a WP brute rather than gimping the build a bit to hit the DEF Cap, which would get debuffed to 0 in an ITF anyway?
I maybe wrong as its my first MM, so any thoughts about not going the Soft Cap rout?

Hi all, I have been leving my first MM a DS/Pain and woo its been fun. He hit lv 47 yesterday and so it is time to begin sloting. However as I play manily tanks and brutes I have no idea were to start. So can anyone help me with some tips etc.
I have about 2.5 bill to spend on build, but what to aim for soft cap def regen or recharge I have no idea, should I leave out the Whips? So anyhelp I can get would be great.
I have to have hover as part of his concept, and he mainly for teaming and some light solo work but would like him to feel Uberish.
