Take a look at my Claws/WP please!

Hey y'all. Long time player just now getting into making my own end game builds instead of just copying others. So if any of you have opinions one way or another on this, please let me know!!

If I calculated things correctly, this build will have a no gap AoE attack chain of Focus => Spin => Eviscerate and will be endurance sustainable without Focused Accuracy assuming .2 End/Sec for each of the 2 Performance Shifter Procs (Yeah, I know, assuming things is bad). With Focused Accuracy turned on I'll be bleeding a whole .2 End/Sec. Single target attack chains seem like they're going to bleed me at about .77 End/Sec with Focused Accuracy. (If this is wrong, let me know, I'm known to make basic math mistakes.)

As for all the rest of the numbers in the build, I'm happy with them, but I don't know if they're "good enough" to do what I want with this character. Basically, I'm looking for a character that can do everything. I'd like to be able to use this character to make Inf for all my other various projects, to be able to help out anyone having a problem with a Arc, AV, or GM. If I can solo some, if not most AVs/GMs, that'd be great too. I'm not looking for something to do ridiculous things like solo a MotITF or a double Rikti Warzone+Pylon Challenge. That's what a future alternate build will be for. >Grins< Well, enough rambling, here's the build.

I think it's ok. The first 3 attacks are a little under-slotted, and health is not slotted. I would swap the slotting of combat jumping and indomitable will. Since you take the leadership power pool, you can take tactics instead of focused accuracy.

An "OK" from you Twilight means it'll be more than good enough for my uses. Good point about Tactics versus Focused Accuracy. Thanks! >Wishes he had another 7 slots to put in the build.<

I agree with most of this and overall the build is pretty nice. I don't know that I agree with swapping the slotting in CJ and IW. IW only gives you minimal defense to Psi only so I don't really see it as worth it IMO. If anything I would drop the Kismet piece and stick the 5th (I think I counted correctly) LotG in there instead. I would agree that slotting CJ as much as you have is a bit overkill since the base defense is so small anyway. As Twilight Snow said you could use some extra slots in your first three attacks, so you could easily pull all but the +rec from CJ and put them there. Follow up should be your first priority with that. You want that to hit.

That being said, if this were my build, additionally I would do the following...

Remove the 3 to-hit debuff enhancements from RttC, the debuff is so minimal it isn't worth slotting for. And you can pretty easily remove one of the slots from maneuvers.

I would put one of the aforementioned slots into fast healing and move the procs from PP there. That way they are available to you if you exemp down. Slot PP with the Performance Shifter proc and leave it at that unless you find you still have slots remaining, then slot for health.

IMO it is probably overkill to have a Willpower build with health and PP so I would drop the health pool altogether.

Take tactics instead of FA

Grab conserve power instead so you can keep PP

Maybe consider assault for that little bit of extra damage.

Overall though good job. I am actually reworking my build a bit because of some things I saw you do.

I'm not a big fan of the attacks being underslotted...
Here's a build I put together without going too much for defense. Pretty much ripped off Katana on my Kat/WP build and plugged in Claws... Good HP and Regen with OK defense and probably just work in Evis in you ST attack chain

Aw, epic ancient hero, don't be sad!

It's a good, strong build as is: You Will Like It.

However, what is your goal for this build? If all you want is an AOE farming death machine, you got it as-is. Your defenses are massive, and with a single-stacked followup Spin and Eviscerate are going to slaughter things.

However, that said, I personally feel your concept may be a tad lopsided:

You have massive +defense, massive regen, and quite a lot of resist. I think that for an optimal toon, you could easily afford to back down the defenses a smidgeon and go for more offense.

How, you ask?

Simply drop manuevers, and take Hasten instead.

Since you are WP, you make Hasten your 'auto' power so you don't need to remember it. While hasten is up you can double-stack followup and easily chain your AOE's.

A further step would be to drop Strength of Will and use the two of the three slots to 'thicken up' one of your lowby attacks as filler, then add one slot to Stamina for a third perf shifter for moar hitpoints and moar end.

I think those small tweaks will noticeably raise your damage, make the toon feel much more fluid in combat, and lower your defense so little you will hardly notice. if you are worried about end sustainability (don't) then drop the third slot from Strength of Will into Physical Perfection and slot a third +end proc.

Go forth, and have fun!

I completely missed no Hasten in this build (makes me sad). All joking aside, if you choose to go the no Hasten route you really won't need the Health Pool and Phys. Perf. Seriously consider dropping Strength of Will for it or keep the Health Pool and drop Phys. Perf for it instead. One way or the other I would work it in.

Yeah, the no Hasten thing makes me sad too. The reason I had originally decided to not take it was that I'd have to drop a Power Pool and at the time I really didn't want to drop Fitness as Hurdle+Ninja Run is my travel power nor did I want to drop Leadership as I think I got a little crazy chasing set bonuses. Looking at it now with all of your *VERY* helpful comments, it doesn't make any sense to burn a Power Pool choice and 3 power choices to justify not taking 1 power (Super Jump) in a Power Pool I'm already taking. Fitness pool, you are the weakest link, good bye. Hello Hasten!!

As for the ToHit Debuff slotting in RttC? That's there entirely for the +Max Endurance set bonus. Same with Combat Jumping. It's slotted for the +Max HP bonus. Like I said, I think I went a little crazy chasing some set bonuses.

@Iggy: Don't you mean better Defense and HP? Man, I go a little crazy chasing set bonuses and start underslotting things, then you come by and blow everything I was trying to do out of the water by getting better numbers *AND* not underslotting things. I knew I had a lot to learn but geez. >Grins<

Stelios, Iggy, Mauk, and Twilight Snow, thanks a ton for the input. I have a lot to think about now. Lucky for me, not only do I absolutely love designing (and re-designing as the case may be) builds but I have time to do so. Ginsumatic is only level 15 at the moment.

Thanks again!

Um....

Beowolf, play what you like, but fitness? Really?

A much...less drastic...change is to drop the leadership pool (one power) for hasten.

But hey, do as you like! Off-the-beaten-path builds need moar luv too!
