My thought would be to lodge a petition (not a bug) and see what happens. Failing that, send Ghost Falcon a PM? I have never heard of such a thing happening before.
Is it possible that they have the XP to be 50 but just aren't trained up yet?
I'm not sure if it ever actually happened but I do remember something about players getting their levels pushed back after a spate of extreme farming in the MA part of the game. I got the feeling it was more of a threat than a reality or maybe I'm mis remembering, but if you got to lv 50 by the architect missions that may be what happened.
Odd, really. I don't think things like his CAN happen but if the assertion is true, perhaps a server rollback happened after a bad patch and undid some work.
How long were you gone for? When did you leave?
This sounds beyond odd. :/

I've been gone for about 5 months now, only just got back.
One of the two definately dinged 50 in a MA mission, but I don't believe the other did - though I may be mistaken.

Are you sure you're logged into the game, and not the test server? You might be looking at an old version/copy of your toon.

Did they get those lvl's in the Rikti com officer farms when MA first came out? If so hey may have been rolled back.

No no, I'm definately not on the test server.
One of them may have dinged on the Rikti com farm, but I'm sure the other didn't.
Honestly your best bet is to contact customer support. Only they can give you the real answer and they don't usually reply to threads. You can do it from the support website or from a toon in question in game via the support option.

Hey guys, I'm back from quite a long break, just getting back into the game when I noticed that two of my previously 50 characters are now level 48.
This is strange as I KNOW that they were both 50 when I left, and can prove that one of them was at least, because when I did leave, you needed a level 50 in order to make a VEAT, which I have at 26.
Is this a known issue or just my bad luck? And how would I go about amending this?
