Market Merger: Inf Cap worries.
Out of curiosity, does that mean your bid flat out disappeared? I was curious if it really would, or if the item would just no longer be available for new bids.

I wouldn't make any assumptions about how the market merger will be implemented. You should probably wait until closer to the release date and see if there any announcements of technical details of the merger before pulling stuff off the market prematurely and losing your listing fee.
The devs haven't promised us that they would refund listing fees on canceled sales. Since you pay that 5% fee up front, at the time you place the item for sale, that means there's probably no difference in removing the item from the market yourself, and having the devs cancel the sale at the time of the merger.

I would guess one of the reasons market mergers were rejected for so long were concerns over the loss of listing fees and other such things. Perhaps someone finally had a brilliant insight to avoid the problems, or recent changes to the market allowed a merger to take place in a way that wouldn't cause the loss of influence.
You said "variety", "visible" and "nonexistent" so many times that my head hurts. I'll let "interface" go without comment -- it was only two sentences after all. =)
Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html
Thanks for sharing.

In the "ALL" tab in the new market UI, it says "ALL (20/22)". It shows all the stuff in 20 of my slots. The other two slots have vanished. They still exist, but I can't see them. I can't put new things into those slots, and I can't cancel the bids that are in those slots.

I did open a support ticket, and the GM's are being very helpful, though it isn't resolved yet.

I have this same issue on a toon, 20/21, and I just assumed it was a display error. I guess I have to petition too. Who knows what I had in that slot.
And I retract my 2B per infamy.....you're right on that but as I pointed out there is still way plenty of space to store infamy even if you play alot of alts (12 on one server and 6 on each other).
Is this really a problem? Unless you have over a hundred characters with 2B sitting on them a piece, bank alts on different servers will do you well.
And if you do have hundreds of billions of inf....why do you care about a few billion here or there!
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
So, I just had a thought.
I have never had 2 billion on a toon for very long, and never thought to check this out. If you have the influence cap of inf, does the Combat Attributes show your influence in that teal blue color, notifying you are capped?
Also, when you kill things, does the system say you earned influence, but it just doesn't add to you 'debit card', or does it say 'You have earned 0 Inf'

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
