Returning 50 DM/Reg...Hammi's vs non-Purple IO's?

Heya.

I'm specifically talking about golgis in clickie heals and nuc's in the DM set...

5 slotting sets in the right combinations, even cheap IO sets, seems to give me more acc/heal/dmg/rech/etc than 3/3 hammi/rech slotting.

The only advantage I can see to 3/3 slotting over non-purple IO set slotting is in examp'ing below 47 (where the non-Purple IO set bonuses shut down).

**********************************

Given the above, I'm not sure why nuc's and golgi's still sell at the values they are on the market. Am I missing a slotting strategy that involves nuc's/golgi's for DM/Reg? Or are the prices still up because some of the other ATs like 'em a lot?

HOs can give you better stats for some specific powers ; i.e., I like to slot my Siphon Life with 3 acc/dam and 3 heal/end. Recharge isn't necessary in SL for the Smite MG Smite SL chain (the global recharge you're going to need for MG and Smite will give SL enough), which is the top DM DPS ST solo attack string.

Other than that, my guesses would be a combo of Hami raids being harder than they used to be, inflation, and people who don't want to invest in the IO system and find HOs easier to use and understand.

Interesting. E'splains why those Touch of the Nictus were so cheap, lol. >.<

What's your Smite/MG slotting, and global rech, if you don't mind me asking?

Yah, pretty much have to be using a planner, and have an anal retentive streak if you're going to min/max IOs. Not to mention the pocketbook.

This is only the case if you only slot level 50 IOs. Most of the time you get similar enhancement values with level 40s and those allow exemping much lower while you keep your bonuses. There are also multiple good sets that cap at 30, 35 or 40.

I actually dislike slotting lvl 50 IOs mostly because crafting them costs twice as much as 49s which are in most cases 0.2% worse for enhancement values.

Ah! Light dawns on Marble Head...tyvm for clearing that up for me.

Old dogs and all that...oh well, if I don't commit two or three gross conceptual errors per day, I'm probably not trying hard enough to relearn the system. :/

For the most part HOs are inferior... except when they aren't. There are occasional places where an HO makes a big difference. IOs are just more used overall for the set bonuses.

You need about +235% rech in MG. As for slotting, for me it heavily varies based on the secondary ; the only constant is 5 hecatombs (all but dam/rech) in Smite.

I generally put Hecatomb in MG, but that's because I want the recharge slotting Heca provides, compared to ToD.
