Any Body Running a Drk/Storm out there

Just wondering if and how well this combo might work, looks good on paper because you can Aoe Immob and throw tornado out there but I know paper and play don't always add up. So if any body is running this or have tryed it in the past I would love the advice. Thank you all for your help

I have one at 20, and while I really like her, it was slow, slow soloing. I play predominately solo, so I really felt how low the damage was in the early levels. I ended taking the snipe, just to get a chunk out of something, since most of the other powers are DOT and unless they are scourging, nothing died before it thumped me but good.

The good thing about it is that you need to play strategically and that gets you really familiar with how to use the powers you have. The downside is it is slow going.

Teams I think it would work much more easily. I am really looking forward to getting more tools. I also just got stamina which made a world of difference. I get the impression that by the early 30s she will be a beast.

Hope that helped at all.

As my signature indicates, I have a Storm/Dark Defender, which (as not indicated) is the one I've played the most. He plays really well and I enjoy probably the most of all my characters. I'm currently doing a set IO revamp, so we'll see where that takes me, but there's not really a way I'll lose in it. It's a great duo and I'd imagine it'd be pretty nice on Corruptors as well.

Using your tentacles as a blender doesn't work. It has no -KB, which is what is needed to have Tornado be a blender on enemies. That being said, your tornado will toss the enemy, they'll get up and maybe get one attack off before the tornado had followed it and throws it again. Also, they won't run away from tornado either, so you will get some damage on it, just not as much as your blender hopes have.

My Dark/Storm is currently level 49.9. There is a lot of synergy with this combo. The immobilize keeps mobs where you put them with Gale/Hurricane. It also helps with the fear component of Tornado and Lightning Storm. Dark provides a self heal to patch up the occasional hit that gets through. Mayhem missions are a blast. Run all over the map triggering a bunch of ambushes, head into the bank, and you have your own personal death zone.

However I don't think I'll roll another Storm Corruptor. Soloing EBs has been very frustrating. Storm should be excellent for that task, but the fear component of the summons has them running all over the map like scared little girls. Using the AoE immobilize to keep them from running is impractical for me because of the endurance consumption that would require over the course of a long battle.

IMO the fear is way overdone on the set, but I doubt it will get changed. That's why any new stormies I roll will be Controllers with a single-target immobilize.
