Upkeep due too early?
Sadly, it's been working like that for quite some time, which is to say "there's a bug."
Rent IS due every four weeks, but the "rent due" reminder pops up every couple of weeks, it seems.
I just try to pay the rent for all my bases on the first or second of every month, and keep track of it that way.
Of course, there's also some people who pay the rent every six weeks, or just before the power gets shut off, since there's no penalty. More information at http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Base_rent

Cheers folks, seems like I'll be waiting for them to turn the lights out in future before coughing up to the bureaucrats' pockets then!
Do so Turjan.
Well atleast now we do not need to pay an absurd amount of upkeep any longer, so even paying each 4 week is not a big loss. (It is the principle of the thing though... pay until the lights are out! ;D)

I pay it now just to get rid of the message. It's something like 3100 prestige. I have about 13 million prestige that I bascially can't do anything with since my base is huge and fully loaded.
I'm not bragging. My point is that the base rent is a pittance these days and really ought to just be eliminated. It serves no purpose.

BTW, if anyone cares, the shut-off time is accurate to the minute.
When I pay rent for one of the bases I run, I log it in a spreadsheet and it automatically calculates 6 weeks and displays on a summary page which base has to be paid next.
That way I don't have to sit in the base and wait for the power to go out (which is what I used to do). As long as I'm one minute past the due time, I'm good to run to City Hall and pay it.
And, yes, my main SG has 31 million prestige in the bank and the rent is 2900. I STILL wait until they cut the power. It's a matter of principle.

I just pay rent for both bases on or around the 1st each month. It's easy to remember.

Okay, so my base upkeep was last due on 26/6, and I paid it on the 25th.
Today (27/6) I log in and see that base upkeep is due again on 10/7...what?
What's the deal with that then?
I know the UK economy is in utter chaos with taxes and rents and levies going up all over the place, but I never thought I'd see that echoed in Paragon City o_O
However you slice it, 26/6 -> 10/7 does NOT equal 4 weeks!
Anyone enlighten me here? Am I missing some change or somesuch? Or is City Hall really trying to stiff me?
