Haven't Played in 2 years.

It's been a very long time since I played this game last. I remember my favorite thing being the community. It was always awesome and fun. I've tried Champions Online, but I missed the RP aspect of this game even though I wasn't that great at it. It was fun seeing what dedicated people came up with.

I guess what I am asking is if this game is still as good as it was two years ago. I renewed for a month so I guess I'll see for myself soon enough, but I still just wanted to ask people who have been playing this awhile if they think it is better or worse than it used to be. Thanks.

The game's about the same as it's always been, which is both good and bad. Things like Mission Architect exist now, which is really cool. And the ability to change our power's colors is pretty nifty, too. I17 brought alot of issues with it, though, so expect lag and a few bugs here or there. The community is still the same, which is both good and bad, as well. Still got the trolls and occasional idiot, but also have the really great SGs out there.

And welcome back to the game, glad ya decided to hang out on Virtue.

Welcome back! Virtue hasn't changed much - I speak from experience of taking a 6 month break and coming back recently. That's a good thing tho. Mostly.

The game itself is better than ever. Graphic upgrades, power proliferation and the upcoming going rogue system is keeping the game fresh in my opinion. So many options coming up! And the booster packs are kinda neat too.

The game's better than ever. Plenty added in the last couple years, including a graphical upgrade and the ability to make your own story arcs and missions. You'll see some new combinations of powers from a round or two of power proliferation, and there's other good stuff like leveling pacts that let you pair up with a friend and share XP, so that you are always the same level. Perhaps the best addition is Super Sidekicking; no more sidekick shuffle! Now, everyone is SK'd to the leader or the mission holder on a team. If you exemp down, you still earn XP. The list goes on but the game has improved constantly. Glad you are back and glad you are on the best server going.

Almost forgot, do join some global channels to make your experience better and teaming easier. VirtueUnited, Virtue LFG Alpha, Virtuebadges09, and Virtue TFs 2010 are great channels. You'll have to be unsilenced in VU but a quick PM to a mod will sort that out right fast. There's lots of private channels too, with specialty interests or private RP groups.

Better or worse. Good question. Better, by far. It's what you make of what you have. I don't even mind that the devs have failed to make us a sparkly combat-ready pony all these years. <hint hint>

Thanks for all the kind replies. It's good to see the community on this game and the Virtue server in particular has remained the same. I still brag to my friends about how nice the people on this game were. That's a big part of why I looked this game up again. Tired of all the hate lurking on my XBOX 360 with Modern Warfare 2.

I logged on for about 30 minutes last night and after clearing my screen of all the new contacts and information screens, I flew back to Atlas park. I have to admit, I was expecting(but definitely not hoping) to see a deserted game with only a few players hovering in Atlas. I was thrilled to see a lot of players on my way there and just as many people as I remember from before hanging in Atlas. I really liked Matrix Online and Star Wars galaxies once upon a time, but both of the communities had died by the time I got on board. Glad to see that isn't the case here. Was this just some misinterpretation on my part, or is this game still that popular? My SG does seem to have died though.

Virtue is one of the servers that still has a population. I gather that if you came back to a different server than Virtue or Freedom you probably would have seen a lot less people. =/

But they're making GR to bring in new players tho they probably wouldn't be in Atlas or Mercy that much but in the GR zones for 1-20.
