SS/Elec IO critique

I recently created a new brute, I've always wanted to have a SS bruiser. Poking around in Mid's I went for a similar high-Sm/Lth Defense build that worked wonders on my Fire/Fire scrapper. I feel like I had to sacrifice a lot of powers to get my numbers up to about 40%, figured I would post it here and see if there's something I'm overlooking. If there's something I can switch out, I'd really like to pick up Ball Lightning, or maybe even Hasten.

This is weird. I see Super Jump at 24 but I can't find Combat Jumping or Jump Kick. Cut and paste error or did I miss it?

Mid planner allows you to pick a travel power without a prerequisite. In game, it is possible if you have the 60 month veteran badge.

I modified your build while keeping the 40% s/l defense. Please see below. I believe the build now picks and slots powers "normally" without weird choces. It has ball lightning, but without a travel power, if this is ok for you. Your original build doesn't have lightning field. I picked it in my build, but you can drop it for hasten or a travel power if you like.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, Twilight Snow, I really learned a lot with just those minor tweaks. I changed a little more and pushed the total Sm/Lth Defense up to 45.6%! (Mostly just replaced Lightning Field with Jab as it was, and kept the Multistrike in Footstomp, but the latter is certainly subject to change back later.) As I'm making my way towards 50, I'll make the decision if I need to drop CJ or Lightning Reflexes for a travel power, maybe it's not as necessary as I think it is right now. Thanks again!
