Help for a PvE Bots/Traps build?
Looks OK, although my own /Traps build is pretty low-level still.
I'd question the need for Triage Beacon. I think Aid Other might be more useful. Those who have taken /Traps to the highest levels might want to debate that.
Also, Acrobatics and Pulse Rifle Burst might be replaced with something else. However, this may come down to personal preference. If you don't like getting tossed around, and want a gun to shoot, well heck, it's about fun more than anything else.
Finally, Black Scorpion and his shield will stack with the Def from your FFG and Prot Bots. And his Web Envelope will keep most mobs in the Assault Bot's burn patches longer. Just something to think about.
I'm mostly looking for slotting help. Acrobatics and Pulse Rifle Burst are used, indeed, for not getting knocked around and actually having some way to defend myself that isn't Poison Trap-Trip Mine. Triage Beacon is very useful, though gets to be a bit of a hassle sometimes.
The APP has three reasons. One, it fits the character better than the other three. Two, Oppressive Gloom is very useful when setting up traps. Three, I just love the Soul Storm animation.
Check out my bots/traps guide in my sig. At the end of the thread it has a build that should be able to solo any content solo at +4 (my setting) and probably +8 as long as you eat all the insperations you are getting.

RO Network
Small thing, but I wouldn't bother with the recharge reductions in the upgrade powers. They already recharge far faster than you should ever need to use them, though I know this is different than they used to be. If you're going to double-slot them, I'd just do two EndRedux, since they do take a hefty chunk of blue.
Edit: Also, I personally swear by Aid Other on my Bots/FF. It's not amazing, but it will certainly help keep your bots alive when they take one hit through your bubble and are near death.
I have to chime in as well for grabbing Aid Other. A the advantage a single target heal gives to any Mastermind can not be overstated! And between yourself and the heal in your Prot Bots, keeping your 'bots alive is much easier.
Personally, I ran with taking the Pulse Rifle Burst at level 4, and used a respec in the early 30s to replace it with the Triage Beacon. Yes, I have both Aid Other and the Triage Beacon - the Beacon is very situational, but one such situation - tackling a particularly hard target like an EB or higher - is actually very regular in CoV. There, you aren't likely to be running around alot, and boosting the regen of all your pets (and yourself) can make recovering from a particularly strong attack much easier.

Those aren't actually the levels where I took the powers and enhancements, I just slapped together the build in Mid's from how it looks as I have it at level 50.

Its a defense cap build. If you do not understand the importance of defense cap or what it is just say so. Some will say forget defense cap and do resistance or a mix of both. I am not gonna bother debating that. That is something you have to decide on your own. If you don't understand why some powers are picked, again by all means ask.
If your not looking at IOs then go to the 2nd build with just SO's. If your gonna do SOs. Then I think your gonna be stuck pretty much in that build.

I'm retooling my first character, a Robotics/Traps MM; I always liked the combo, but being a child of I6/I7 I can barely play her anymore. So, I'm trying to rebuild her, starting with a respec which I've already done. I intended to just throw it together haphazardly, but I recently figured that isn't the best idea. Level 1: SupremacyPretty much the only things I'm sure of are the Blood Mandate in the Protector Bots, and the Numina's Convalescence in Triage Beacon, since I'm absolutely sure they are good ideas.
Money is not an item; I'm intending this to be a long-term project, and my Brute has plenty of money I can transfer over. So HOs and purple sets are fair game, as are PvP sets I suppose if they benefit the build.
