Alright, so the following is my first attempt at a build. As such, I would appreciate any advice on how to make it better. My goals are perma-PA and soft-capped defenses. I've managed the first using hasten+AM (both perma'd), but not the second, so any advice on managing that specifically (without loosing perma-PA) would be highly appreciated.

Soft capped defenses as in Soft Capped Smashing Lethal Defenses? maybe with the perma PA challenge.

Soft Capped defenses as in All 3 positionals or all 3 typed sets? Hell no.



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Moar Post padding!...

I looked at your build. MOST purples I see are better off slotting everything but the thing it's a purple for... Yeah.. Hard for me to generalize.

IE... Coercive Persuasion: Confuse does little to increase the confuse. Better to slot everything but the Confuse one. >.> Hope that makes sense.

Also, the Miracle Proc in Hibernation will ONLY work 90 seconds after clicking Hibernate. Completely useless.

Would be good to slot some end reds in your toggles. Superior Invis takes a lot of end. In battle, you will be running 2.64 end/sec, recovering 3.39 end/sec. That gives you about .75 end/sec to use to attack with.

In other words, you are going to have endurance problems.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.

I know why I've been considering ramping up my s/l def on my perma PA ill/cold. It's because PA isn't very good at holding more than a few targets' agro.

And the kind of stuff that perma PA lets you get in to means that the tiny duration they lose agro when you recast them can spell trouble.

As the group I ran a STF with last night can attest to. I had little issue pulling agro on to myself in spite of a very heavily taunt specc'd tank and 3 sets of PA (including my own) all taunting things. I mean if you just sit back and spam confuse while your PA does the work you likely have no issues, but trollers can do some pretty solid damage if they spec everything as though they were attacks.

Well then, I guess we can all have dream builds. Sorry that your Soft-capped Perma PA troller is not possible.

I frankly would like a capped resistance to all DA tank with mag 24 KB prot and Dark Regen down to 5 seconds.
