it doesnt matter where the bonus comes from (except when its global proc rather than a set bonus)
so you can only have 5 lots of 10%, no matter where it comes from.

yeah thx, after asking around in game to some PVPers... i found out, and there's a way to check... i found out that "Ctrl b" will pop up a window that will let u know if u have a bonus that went over the 5 limit...

The basic issue (as I understand it) is the "name" of the bonus, as shown in
the combat attributes window (ie. "Huge Regen Bonus").
You can only have 5 sets contributing to that particular name regardless of
which actual IO sets they are.

(correctly) not showing him extra bonuses, and he was thinking that 5
identical sets was the problem and throwing a different set in was then ok.
That said, the ctrl-b trick for having Mid's actually show you which sets
are problematic, is a wrinkle I didn't know -- I'm embarrassed to say how
I used to tell (in Mid's) if I was going over the 5 Rule.

i am using mids to plan out a fighclubber. i know u can only get up to 5 bonuses from that same IO set. However, there are other sets that might give you that same bonus. For instance, i get 10% bonus from the following: panacea, efficacy adaptor, panacea, shield wall, Luck of The Gambler.
They all give 10% regen bonus. Then I added another efficacy adaptor on another power at a higher lvl and it did not affect the total regen, instead it stayed the same.
So, is it mids or the 5 rule works for all the 10% u can get in general? regardless if its the same set or not.
If anyone has come accross this or has an answer I'll appreciate it...
