Attacks. Any attack, hit or no hit. You can use PBAoE attacks to build Domination out of combat. I think mezzes are supposed to build more than regular attacks, but I'm not quite sure on that point. I'm fairly certain that ST attacks generate as much as AoE.
I believe you can use the snipe attack to build Dom also....by interrupting it over and over.

I believe each attack or control power activated builds the same amount of Domination. So single target vs AoE doesn't matter. Although as mentioned PBAoEs can be fired out of combat, and Snipes can be charged and cancelled.
When in a team, though, the amount of Domination you build depends on the number of teammates. So it does build faster with a large team.
I have a question about the intrinsic Domination power that I can't seem to find the answer to elsewhere. I'm a new Dom player, so try not to give too much grief as I'm sure this is obvious to all the vet Doms out there. What all exactly builds the Domination bar?, and how (by what mechanic/criteria) Is it attacks? Successful hits? Number attacked? Number hit?
I guess I'm asking... Is an AOE much better for building the Dom bar, or can a single target attack build it just as fast?
Any and all insight in to how this mechanic works is appreciated. And, any and all suggestions about it, well, I'll read them.
