Make sure that the AVG program knows that City of Heroes is a trusted program. Somewhere in the AVG program should be a place to put in trusted programs so that it won't block them.

Ok so I tried what you said it didn't work, I even went as far to as to add it to the Windows Firewall Exception list, that didn't work, I even installed a new Anti Virus software, that didn't work, I'm out of ideas =/
I had to uninstall it and I use, some free thing I don't remember, but AVG and Windows Defender both hated CoH regardless of everything I tried.

Weird, my wife uses Windows Defender and I use Windows Security Essentials, and never had a problem with running CoH. Weird how different computer builds end up being so diverse.
Same here I never had issues with AVG before but now for some strange reason I am...and I need a solution

You may need to rip and reinstall CoH (yes, I know, pain, LOTS OF PAIN!)
